this weekend was every kind of emotion and feeling you could imagine and i loved it! -- aka. one of the best weekends of summer '06
so on friday, my friend from saudi, matt, who i haven't seen in like 9 years, came into town. he got in really late, like around 10 but we were both starving, so we headed over to bennigans. we were just chillin', eatin', drinkin' when this guy comes through the door and it's someone ELSE from saudi! charlie. sooo crazy, so he bought us some drinks and then we headed out. we got home and ce and gary were there, so we made more drinks and made the boys watch mean girls. they liked it, it was good. so i think we went to sleep at like 5.
on saturday...i mean, afternoon...boo. i think i was first woken up by l*bo at 10, being mad i wasn't up yet, then 11.30 finally waking up to talk to her, then going back to bed, until finally waking up at like 1 or something. i think we left my house around 2.30 or 3 and went to lunch at the oasis. yum! and perfect view! then we went to see a friend of ours, jared, at the restaurant he bartends at. so by now i've been drinking all fri night, then a marg at the oasis, then more at rocco's. ahhh. so we hung out there for a little bit, then went back to my house, took a nap, and then 1 hour turned into like 2, boo. we woke up, and got ready to meet a bunch of people i haven't seen for also 9 years to pre-drink and go out. *note: it was at this time, that the BARTENDER [from last weekend] called me! so maybe he's not a jerk, we'll see if he calls back* anyways, we met at omi's house, and a bunch of the old gang was there: chris, mo, chris' sister amy, pavan, tatiana. it was really good to see all of them. kitch also called me then too, he has been MIA for awhile. oh boys. we finally left the house around 12 and went down to firehouse, apparently chris is like bffs with the bartender so that's nice, then over to the aquarium which was fun, then back to firehouse. shawna & colleen apparently met me there, i barely remember that, but shawna has pictures so...lol. then we left and went back to omi's, i think matt & i ended up leaving at like 8.30? or something weird and ridiculous. stopped at mcdonalds for breakfast, then crashed at my house til like 3? got up, got ready and met up with some other friends of ours, to see them and their twin boys and grab some dinner. then we went to see julie :) (another saudi peep, but i hang out with her all the time) and then met chris, mo, ramzi, his gf hope and jared met up with us at this mediterranean restaurant to chill and stuff. it was v. fun! but crazy, we got home at like 1.30, bed at 2. and i had to wake up at 7. boo.
all in all, it was SOOO fun to see all these people from the past! and i hope we make more of a habit of it b/c it wasn't weird to not have seen them forever, it was great! today i'm sooo v. tired, i need another weekend to recuperate. i felt like a frat boy or something. drink all night, sleep all day, rinse, repeat. boo.
anyways, i have training to do today, which is my first time, so i hope i do ok! and i'm going home and like, sleeping. blah.
