"i want more than words can describe"--jason mraz
so i'm sure everyone is just so excited to hear about how my weekend went. it was really fun, i will have permanent bags under my eyes and it would be helpful to know how to wear makeup in such a way that it doesn't show how tired i really am, but all in all. a good weekend, minimal drama.
on friday, i went home, and i didn't feel good at all, but i was ready for night 3 of shawna and sharla's bday celebrations, so i took some medicine and took a long nap, like a trooper, woke up and drove down south to sharla's apt so we could go out. shawna, sharla, colleen and i got a cab and went down to west 6th street, near katz's, etc. we started off at star bar, but quickly turned around and left, (lame.) then went to some bar called key bar, where we met cynthia, sandy and joel and some other randoms that i didn't know. it was an alright bar, it's right across from katz's and the drinks were alright, but i wouldn't make a big effort to go back there. after that, we trekked down to molotov which was fun, it has a rooftop which is always fun. we stayed there for awhile and then went to union park, this new bar. apparently i know someone who knows the owner, this does no good if the person i know isn't there, and i also found out i know a waitress, (i babysat her in saudi), she offered to get me a drink and then ran away before i could tell her what i wanted, whatever. we were there for awhile, shawna met a boy and went off and sharla and i couldn't find her or colleen, so we just went with whoever the randoms were from key bar to katz's, and i actually made friends with 2 of them, heart. eventually colleen, shawna, her boy, sandy and joel came too, and then we all went home. i stayed at sharla's for the first time and yes, your couch is comfy, reilly woke me up though in the morning, snorting. boo reilly.
on saturday, shawna, sharla and i got breakfast at whataburger, then i went home to shower and change and come back out to watch the UT/OU game at vincent's on his HD tv, holla! shawna and sharla came and brought me chipotle (ok, now i like it! yum-o!) and just watched the game. kitch was in town for an audition and stopped by to hang out with us for awhile. after UT beat OU and baylor won their game against colorado in like triple overtime, kitch and i went over to shawna's to hang out before we went out. then kitch went back to dallas, and shawna, sharla, vincent, ben, ginger and i all went to kenichi for night #4. after some good sushi, and a $400 bill, we finally hit up downtown, the plan was to stay on 4th street, but after a long time and big bill at cuba libre, we decided to go back to union park...our new favorite bar, haha. (i mean, COME ON, they put strawberries in the drinks...and blue cherries) we took a lot of pictures and i got to know ginger and ben and now i can officially say we're friends, heart. they're one of my new favorite married couples. it was pretty fun, and not ridiculous, which was good. after that, we just went home and i crashed at shawna's.
on sunday, shawna, sharla and i got whataburger for breakfast (yes, again) and then i went home and i was planning on going to my parents, but after sitting (yes, sitting) in the shower for 10 mins i decided to sleep, when i talked to my mom she said i should rest...i was SURE that my headache was sinus...until i slept for 4 more hours. boo, hungover. when i woke up at like 4.30 i proceeded to have a nip/tuck marathon and finished season 3, now i can start on the current one, thank goodness (and free up my dvr). btw, nip/tuck marathons where there is a murderer on the loose who wears a mask does not bode well for good dreams at night. boo. shawna called and asked if i wanted to see the departed with them but the movie was in 30 mins and i was being a slight bum, so i declined, but i hear it's really good!
tonight is studio 60, the bachelor: rome and the what about brian? premiere, i've been waiting for this since it went on hiatus for the summer, i'm sooo excited! :) i also need to go to the gym, i mean like seriously. the half marathon is just around the corner and i really need to focus.
anyways, all in all it was a very good weekend and here's a shoutout to sharla and shawna for their birthday!
