"remember bein' up late last night"--greg naughton
hey hey
well i guess i shoudl quickly recap my weekend...as some people may or may not know, usualy i try to extend my birthday into a whole week celebration...this year was not the case, i really wasn't super excited about my birthday, maybe b/c it's "23" and that's not really exciting or maybe because i'm not as established as i thought i would be at this point of the year, either way, i was pretty "eh" about my birthday...so friday rolled around, i was awakened by a call from andy, :), an hour later, by my parents with breakfast and a new watch, then 2 housr later by my alarm, as i rushed off to lunch with allegra, good to catch up on the high school gossip...anywyas, i came home, and my dad and i went to Fry's, and then i came home and just sat around for awhile, every so often answering the phone...anyways, my mom made a really cute and quaint little fondue dinner for me and my 'rents and allison, bundy and andy...we were running short on time, so i had to not go through with the reservations to esther's follies and instead we went to the drafthouse to see "sideways" and carosa met up with us there...it was an alright movie..
anyways, saturday, it was not a "zoo" day which is what i wanted to do, instead it was rainy and cold, so andy and i just drove around, stopped at a few different stores, had a late lunch, came back, rested and then got ready to meet bundy and carosa for esther's follies, it was soo funny! it's the 3rd time iv'e been, but each time is funnier! anyway, afterwards we just went to magnolia for some late night grub, we were laughing so loud, everyone probably thought we were drunk, but it was purely sober fun...amazing...lol...so in truth, i only "stretched" (if you can call it that) my birthday to 2 days...it was fun, nonetheless...
today was absolutely GORGEOUS, and i sent andy on his way, took a shower, cleaned my room, organized my CDs, went to get gas, the paper, etc., came home, had a little snack, played with cleo in the backyard and then met my mom at her open house, it was at this amazing house, and only 3 people stopped by...oepn houses are soo boring and ridiculous...anyways, it was very pretty, then i came home and have been sitting on the couch for like 6 hours...SWEET...all Oscar stuff...anyways, i haven't seen a lot of th emovies that were nominated, so i can't really say in all honesty, but i felt like annette benning was robbed, and now i really have to see million $ baby to see what all the hype is about...i'm glad charlie kaufman won for "eternal sunshine", but i had thought garden state was up..oh well,...i was glad anyways...
tomorrow i'm doing nothing of good, i'm sure..i have to get my new license, i'd like to get a pedicure, and go shopping...i'm thinkign about learning how to knit, b/c i need a hobby...whatever, it's cheaper than jewelry making i figure...if i give it up, at least i spent $5 as opposed to $25...whatever...
and congrats to KXA for making pigskin, not only am i proud of the act making it, but "i love the 80s"??!?! i couldn't be prouder!! way to go ladies!
