So I have to type this in Word b/c our server is down, which sucks..boo! anyways, weekend update…well Friday I left work early to get down to my house for the inspection which went…not so well. There are all these things wrong with it, i.e. foundation, water damage, etc. etc. and apparently the inspection guy didn’t think these were a big deal. Anyways, then I decided not to go back to work and I went to go pick up andy in lago vista and I was hot and sweaty from standing outside with the inspector and I was so tired, I felt so anti-social, b/c I was hot, tired and hungry, not good mixes for me. We left and met carosa and gary at Iron Cactus for happy hour turned dinner, which was really fun. The price wasn’t, but seeing as I had only eaten one (1) sugar donut all day long, half a margarita was pretty much all I needed, so andy drank his and the rest of mine, since I was supposed to be driving. It was a really fun time, and I even splurged and got dessert, which was AMAZING!! After that, andy and I went to best buy to look at appliances and then to rent Ray, which was an AMAZING movie and I think Jamie foxx definitely deserved his Oscar.
Saturday, we got ready and met andy’s mom and our mom at the Texican Café, (decent food), it was the first time our mom’s had met, so it could have been stressful, but it wasn’t, we had a good lunch, then went to look at my house,,…and my parents house as a backup…when I walked into the house I have been planning to buy for the past 2 weeks, I felt so uneasy, and I knew that wasn’t good. Then we went to see my parents’ house…it is SOO cute from the outside, it doesn’t have that cottage-y look like my other one did, but it is stone and it has a much better layout, a much better yard, and *** less repair cost!! We couldn’t go inside b/c the people who live there weren’t there, so we all went our separate ways. I went to go exchange something at the mall, and the girl was so rude, she told me to make sure I kept my receipt stapled to my old one because “you took the other one off”…I was like, “uhh..sorry” I didn’t realize it was such a big deal, no one ever made it a big deal when I was doing returns there, whatever. Peace out to her! Then we came home and went swimming because apparently summer just decided to SHOW up unexpectantly, we went from like 89 to 100 in a day…thank you texas. And for those of you who like to sit outside at restaurants, this is my cut off point from here until September, I don’t like to sweat, unless it’s an activity where you should be sweating, and eating is not one of them, so I apologize. After that, we showered and went to look at furniture and more appliances, at least I know what kind of bed I want!! Anyways, then we decided it was dinner time (at 930pm) and finally decided to go to Texas Roadhouse, far away, but worth it, then back home.
Sunday, woke up and I cleaned some, andy’s mom was supposed to come over for lunch at our house. That was fun, but my dad is kind of sick right now, so he couldn’t really join us..poor dad L after lunch, we went to go look inside of my parents house that I am thinking about buying and it is soooo cute!! It’s so homey feeling and my mom kept saying, the kitchen is small, the kitchen is small, I looked and I’m like, mom, for as much as I’m in this kitchen, it is NOT small. Anyways, I love it, and this morning, I terminated my contract on the other house and will be purchasing this house from my parents. The renters move out at the end of the month, and so I will be moving in at the beginning of June!! Whoa!! I just got a serious kick in the butt…anyways, for this house, I don’t have to do any weird repairs, just the fence, a new garage door, clean the carpets, little things. Buy a stove, and then I get to decorate!! I bought a magazine last night on my hour and a half trip to target with Allison, so we’ll see…After I drove back from the house, Allison came over and we sat by the pool, then went to target (see above).
Because I didn’t come back to work on Friday, I just have to sit through my lunches for the next 3 days, today isn’t so bad b/c we have a staff meeting at 12, so technically that IS my lunch, so we’ll see about Tuesday and Wednesday…it’s a small price to pay to take a short Friday, that’s what I think at least. Anyways, our server at work is down right now and so considering that pretty much 95% of my job is done using the internet, this sucks!! I’m working in photoshop right now. Peace out!
