sorry for the non update (shawna!)
anyway, backtrack
sunday we went on the queen mary and were there for a very long time, i can tell you ALL the history of it (if you want to know), then we came home, thad and rose fixed a VERY good dinner and we watched garden state, and the end of mean girls. i of course, love garden state, but mean girls was really funny too and i will probably invest in it before the month is over. monday was the 4th of july and we really got a late start, watched shall we dance? , which was just alright, then drove down to san clemente to hang out with my cousins' friends, we walked around to find some shops, but none were open or not worth going into, so lisa and i got some ice cream at baskin robbins and we walked back to their friends' apt. we hung out there for awhile, ate a lot, i played with the doglet, eeee! then around dusk, we walked to the beach to watch the fireworks which were AWESOME! better than any texas show i've seen! people were swimming and surfing at the same time and i thought if i didn't think the water was so frickin' cold that would have been a cool way to watch the fireworks. on the walk back, this weird guy kept talking and following lisa and i, so we had to step it up and catch up to rose, thad, kasia and mike so he would leave us alone. he FINALLY did, but it was still scary. anyways, then we drove back, got home pretty late and had to wake up at 245 to get lisa to the airport on time.
long story short, i ended up getting there at 5am for my 1025am flight, and needless to say it was a looong day, i was very thankful for my direct flight, my mom was late picking me up (of course), i stopped to get food, went to the bank, then pretty much crashed, even though i tried not to. i woke up around 830 and did laundry and unpacked some. then tried to get back to sleep around 1130. i think i tossed and turned for awhile, b/c i woke up and my clock said 1:49 and i was like ahhh...but i must have gotten SOME sleep during that time b/c i didn't wake up that tired and i'm not that tired right now.
anyway, for those of you who don't know, some of you do (ie. shawna, andy, allison), i didn't get the house, the person who did bid about $20K more than i did and i didn't have that kind of money, so i guess they REALLY wanted it, who knows...i am still crossing my fingers for some sort of miracle, and also waiting for a beautiful house to fall out of the woodwork.
i have been incredibly busy today, it is already lunchtime and i have so much more to do! i had a hamburger patty for lunch, it wasn't very good, so now i'm having the chips i brought, and will prob. eat my yogurt...what a lunch!
so london won the 2012 olympics bid! how awesome and apparently it's a really great opportunity for my company! and i may get to work with some stuff for it! sweet!
anyways, i'm not that tired today, i think i may trade my phone in and just live out the next 6 months with sprint and switch in december (when i can for free) to cingular.
