i know, a little late...for the weekend, but oh well. i'll try to make it short and sweet as it wasn't overly exciting.
friday was a good day i think, i didn't do much, came home and rose & thad were studying and decided to order pizza, not a huge fan of dominos, but it'll do, so we had a nice little dinner on my newly moved in table and that was fun. around 830 or so? brad called me and said they were going out and his friend's band was playing at redrum at midnight...MIDNIGHT? i'm an old lady, had it been 1030, even 11, i would have gone, but no, this lame ass was watching tv and in bed by 11. i'm so freakin' awesome. that was stand-up #1.
saturday i woke up around 930, extremely refreshed, yes that's what 10+ hours of sleep does for you. i went over to meet a dog that shawna was thinking of getting down in south austin, he was cute, but she decided not to get him. oh boo. then i went to meet my mom at this bistro in bee caves and then we went to get massages. very relaxing day, let me tell ya. except this guy liked to talk, i'm like, it's a massage...shhhh...but in the end it kind of relaxed me even more. my mom had gotten rose & thad's massages the day before, and so with mine as the 3rd, she got hers free, definitely needed it. bless her heart. so after that, i went to target, bought some stuff (of course) and went home, showered, and hung out with my dad until my mom came home. rose & thad met us there after their test and then we went to eat dinner at pyramids, my favorite mediterranean restaurant, complete with food that takes me back to my past, hookah pipes and belly dancers. on the way driving over there, (we took all 3 cars to park in one spot and my mom drove the rest of the way), i realized that i forgot my phone at my parents house. well, fuck. so anyways, besides that, the dinner was good, we have pictures, fun! afterwards, my mom and i went shopping b/c foley's was open until 11, and i bought some boots and then home i went.
sunday i woke up and picked up a paper, and drove to the parents house to pick up my damn phone, where i found 1 text message from brad, calling me a loser as well as about 5 missed calls from people (of course, the time i don't HAVE my phone, people call me...sorry y'all)-stand up #2. rose was taking her last test before she can officially practice her chiropractic skills, so my mom and i met them at kerbey lane for some austin-y atmosophere and then went to whole foods. i was supposed to go see proof and/or elizabethtown with shawna, but my mom tricked us and took us to some weird meditation place first. boo. we were in whole foods for way too long, i prefer heb, thankyouverymuch, but then again, i'm not very health food conscious. afterwards, i just went back to my house and did some laundry, woo hoo.
yesterday was monday, boo. but oh well, brad asked me to do him a favor for his lovah in austin, so being the good friend i am (really brad, are we that close?), i helped a playa out. doing this meant driving to the other part of town, ehhhhh, but to make up for this, i got to have dinner with shawna and sharla at casa g's, the best mexican restaurant in town...well, maybe ONLY good one (yes, i'm picky). very fun! we were loud and judgemental and it was fun. anywayysss...then i went to do my errand, of course, heb doesn't believe in single roses, so i had to travel around finding a place that does, luckily randalls was close by. 2 circles around monterrey oaks, one desperate search in the dark for an apartment, and countless free drink offers later, i was done with my job and went off to target...i bought some trashbags, a birthday card for my dad, and a vegetable peeler...wow. too exciting, i'll stop. home to do laundry and watch laguna beach , have i mentioned what a GREAT show that is...then i got caught up on the old episodes that i hadn't seen. question to long term laguna watchers, was the first episode this season their winter formal?
ok so today is tuesday, it's lunchtime, dont' know how to spend the hour, maybe best buy? hmmm...home tonight to watch grey's anatomy with bundy and grocery store to buy food for cooking my dad's birthday dinner tomorrow. i'm such a great daughter...an angel even? ;)
ps. here is a dog i'm looking at, i know i know, she's tiny, but she's not full chihuahua, which is nice, and hopefully they wont' judge me for not being a stay-at-home mom and i can't stay with her 24/7. cross your fingers. she's a foster dog, the other at the shelter has applications pending on her, so i may not get her :( .
