"i never said i wasn't gonna tell nobody, no baby"--stacey-q

i absolutely love weekends which seem way longer than they probably are. i felt like i had a mini-vacation from work and i was only gone for a normal weekend, and i didn't even go anywhere, it was good. i HEART summer!

on friday i went home and got some stuff together and then met shawna and sharla and we went out downtown. on the walk over there, i saw jenell, my roommate from freshman year which was cool, and then we tried to go to vicci but there was something about a guest list? and a cover, lol. so we went to cedar street to watch shawna's boss sing in a band, called lc rocks, they're an 80s cover band and they were AWESOME! i loved them!!! after about an hour we headed over to lavaca where nothing was going on, but we stayed for a really long time and then ended the night over at lucky. i had a lot of fun all around b/c i got to dance a lot, to 80s AND at lucky :) i saw a boy at lucky, but i don't like making the first move, plus he was wearing a hat and i couldn't tell if he was cute or not, damn bar lights. apparently sharla blew out a candle and wax got all in her face and she lost a contact...i don't know...

then we walked to whataburger and left all thoughts of low carb behind :)

i spent the night at shawna's and woke up very soon after (boo...like 5 hours) to go meet scottie, paul and jon at the lake. it was such a pretty day and there weren't many people out (b/c we went out so freakin' early) and i decided to try to wakeboard again. i'm making progress, i actually got up, but then i got excited, squealed and let go of the rope...eh. after that, scott, paul and i went to lunch, which was fun, and then i went to lay by my parents' pool. then i showered and went to an early dinner for my mom's friend's daughter's birthday at olive garden. i'm just not a huge olive garden fan,...in fact, if you know a good italian restaurant let me know, i'm not a huge fan of macaroni grill, i don't mind johnny carinos' so much, but hmmm...after that i was sooo tired, my parents and i just went to best buy and i bought some speakers for my ipod (finally!) and then just chilled out and went to sleep really early. i'm AWESOME!

on sunday i woke up late, was lazy, laid out (again)...l*bo told me i'm goiing to look like a tree in the wedding...boo. and went to get a key made for ce, and then went home and kind of picked up/cleaned and got ready for carosa (aka ce) to come. her and gary came over around 5 and we unloaded all her stuff, and they hung out for awhile. i'm so excited about having a roommate! i just realized how much i like having people over. then my mom surprised me and brought cleo over for a little bit...aww visitors!

so i'm finally discovered my neighbors, this gives me a little something write about now. on one side, i have "hottie" neighbor, he likes to clean and work on his mustang with no shirt on...it's nice (he's married though, damn), on the other side i have normal mid to late 30s neighbors who seem nice enough, i shoudl probably introduce myself...and next ot him, we have creepy neighbor, who emerged yesterday while we were unloading the truck, asking if we had a sautering (sp?) gun...he had ugly teeth, an accent and 5000 tattoos...he creeped me out. i told gary i'm glad he was there b/c it looks like gary lives with us too, so he shouldn't come around.

also, my sprinkler system is broken...i don't know what's wrong with it, i replaced the battery, my next attempt is checking the breaker...then it's the good ol' trusty hose until i can get it fixed...lovely being a homeowner.

i started watching as good as it gets...i haven't finished it, but so far i really like it!!

plans for this week include: getting my oil changed, dress altered and getting ready to visit my familia on the beach! :)
