hey hey, so i hope everyone had a great weekend! mine was really relaxing, perfect time for that.
on thursday night, i met my mom at my 'rents house and we drove to my aunt sandy's house in SA. we basically just chilled, i talked to bundy on the phone, FINALLY!! so good! and went with my cousin stef to sonic and that's about it.
we woke up really "early" (as in the same time i always wake up) on friday and drove to corpus. we stopped at rose's chiropractic office to visit and so my aunt sandy could get worked on (she has bad feet). so we were there for a few hours, then finally made it to port aransas and checked into the hotel and went straight to the beach (it's like almost 4pm now), so we weren't there for very long, came back, got ready and went to eat. i heart seafood, yum!
on saturday, we got ready and pretty much spent all day at the beach, leaving only when my mom was SURE that my face was burned and we had to leave right away (i secretly think it was because i was getting too dark and she worries about my sun exposure, except it didn't seem to matter much that she didnt apply ANY sunscreen and her whole back is a bright pink now)...once back at the hotel, after a visit to the pool, it was very apparent my mom was lying and my face was a normal color. (later i'd find out that it was in fact, the part of my back which is hard to reach by yourself which is a little pink..."i NEVER burn!") we got ready and went out to dinner, MORE seafood, haha. then we stopped by some of the little shops and looked around and then stopped at some bar/restaurant place to hear some live music, some guy named granger smith, he was pretty good actually...and then back to the hotel.
sunday we headed back to SA at like 12, but somehow i didn't get back to my house til like 8. boo. chris texted me and said they were goign to go see pirates of the caribbean and did i want to join? and i really wanted to see the movie, so i said yes, and then i found out they were going at 10.45 and that means i would be home pretty late, so i declined. instead, i made dinner, and watched my latest netflix movie: love & sex. (no it's not a porn) it was a short little movie (like less than 1hr 30mins) and it was really cute. i liked it, i might buy it. it has jon favreau in it shawna, have you seen it?
i'm also 2/3 of the way through the lovely bones, SOOOO GOOD! all of y'all were right, and i've cried. i can't stop reading it!
this weekend was an accomplishment, i got plenty of sun, a little burned, and a LOT of sleep. it was perfect. i'm ready for the 2nd half of summer debauchery!
