sorry i'm totally slow at this, maybe i'm on blog strike, boooo
anyways, recap of this weekend, on friday i went to colleen and shawna's holiday party, i was colleen's date :), i met them at the union just in time for some bowling, i came in 2nd! this time though i didn't "brag" on my bowling skills, luckily because i didn't do that well even if i was 2nd. haha. after that, we were all starving and the dinner was about to start so we went up to the dinner room. since we love food, we started the appetizer line, it was SOO good: coconut shrimp, cheese, fruit, yum-o! after one of the hosts implied we were eating too much (we each had 2 plates) and reminded us "dinner was still to come", we finally got dinner. actually i ate too much and couldn't finish my dinner, oh well. i left some tiny room for a few bites of cheesecake, yum! after that, i was so exhausted since it had been a really long week that i just wanted to go home to sleep. so i did just that.
on saturday i woke up, lazed around and then went to my hair appt, it took me almost an hour to get there, boo! anyways, i didn't do anything crazy, i only cut about 2 inches off, but that was enough to get the dry ends off, and then i had told her my work holiday party was that night and she decided to curl my hair, i wish i had a picture, it was the cutest she'd ever done my hair in the 6 years i've known her. i loved it! she inspired me to start curling my hair (hence today, my hair is curled). anyway, then i went to my parents house, changed and went with my mom to this quinceneara, we just went to the church service, it was catholic and when we went to get communion, the priest just turned around and didn't give anyone except the girl and her family the host. embarrassed for us, so a bunch of us had to turn around and sit down. i dont' know where my mom meets these people but she managed to know the entire family of like 6 or 8 kids, and like worked with them all at random times or something. weird. i also saw some guy i went to high school with and he looked at me like he knew me, but we've never spoken in my life, and we even had to be introduced which was awkward, yes maybe i should have said "didn't you go to lake travis?" but then what? the end. i just wanted to leave. after that we just ran around shopping and then went to my work's holiday party.
my party was at chez-zee, it was total open bar, meaning wine, beer, and any alcohol, if i had known that i wouldn't have taken mama sims, but it's ok, haha. she enjoyed a whiskey sour and a vodka martini, and i found out that i like martinis, if anyone likes green olives, come with me next time i get one, you can have them. anyways, it was really fun. i sat at a table with my boss, her husband, another couple and another lady from the floor i work on. they were all really fun and i got to talk to my boss' husband and he is really fun too. my mom won a starbucks card so she was really excited haha. the food was fantastic, filet mignon and salmon and even the dessert was good ;) creme brulee and some other cake. then we did white elephant, i got some cheesy earrings and some chinese stress ball things. whatever, we left shortly after that and then i went home.
i slept in on sunday and had what i call a "perfect sunday", i finished my xmas cards, i cleaned, i started my SaTC marathon (halfway through season 2) and slept. i was so relaxed and rested for this week, it was great.
yesterday i wanted to go to the gym but i didn't, on the way home from work i started seeing these weird spots (this has happened to me once before at work and i thought i was going blind, i think it just means computer overload and tired eyes, i've been staring at my screen hard for hours because of the ecard, so i think they were stressed), so i just drove home, took out my contacts, closed my eyes. and laid down for a minute. then i made some dinner and watched some SaTC, and what about brian until chris came! yay! he got in around 10 and stopped by for awhile so we could hang out. i'm so glad he's home. as cheesy as it sounds, i had butterflies all day waiting for him, and i love that. so needless to say, it was great to see him! he made sure i packed for our mini road trip to houston and then left around 12.
today i thought i was going to be late to work but i wasn't, amazing. i did my training, ecards are all sent out and done and i had time to blog :). after work i'm going to chris' house, for what i assume is a good dinner and then we're off to houston. i took the day off tomorrow to go with him to get his french visa, fun fun. on weds we're going to have dinner with l*bo and shea and maybe kel if she feels better, so that should be fun :)
