"outside, outside the walls, out there, you don't hear the echos and calls"--cake
so have i mentioned or complained about how hard it is to turn on utilities on a house? well it is...i have all of 'em: electric/water/gas...the gas is the real problem though b/c my mom and i have talked to about 10 different people and each one says that i either have propane or natural gas..i don't mean there's a choice, i mean that each person is adamant it is one, then when we ask someone else, they say it's the other...it was a rough finding...when we finally found out it's natural gas..fine, perfect, so we have to set up an air test so the city of leander can come out and inspect the gas line, $139+ later, city of leander informs us it is in fact PROPANE and NOT natural gas...all i can say is wtf? maybe i don't have gas after all, and if i do in fact have propane, where's the damn tank? it is just a lot of effort...i'm really wondering if maybe someone can ask the old OWNER, b/c he would for sure know...whatever.
the house was inspected today as well, like once over, etc. the inspector was the guy who inspected river crest, (my first almost purchased house) and said "wow, this is a LOT better than the other" (well of course it IS, it's 20 years newer) anyways, of course, little falda rosa has a perfect inspection..of COURSE b/c it IS after all my perfect little house...and then...the inspector leaves, thus putting the garage door down (which by the way is incentive b/c most of these houses don't have the garage door opener and mine did), and then a spring broke...therefore meaning the garage door won't close...
he called my mom (note: this inspector has broken 2 other doors on houses my mom has asked him to inspect), mom calls realtor, she says (basically), fix it yourself, my mom calls inspector upset and pissed, inspector apologizes and offers to pay for it himself...mom calls me with story...(mom, get to the point, do i have to pay or not?) [no], well then...thanks for the story...anyways, my poor house has half a garage door open, boo! at least i don't have to pay for it...to the inspector i say...learn how to close garage doors, or just use the front door...geez.
can i just move in now? dang title people.
