"why are you different, why are you that way"--dave matthews band
i know i know, i'm so way behind, i'm getting yelled out (sorry sheavon, and i know it's ruining l*bo's morning reading!) i'm just really busy at work, yesterday i didn't even eat lunch and then my mom wanted to hang out after work, i was so tired! jones and i just curled up on the pappasaun chair and fell asleep...aww, we're so cute!
ok so friday night, i came home, found that jones had escaped from the bathroom (how? i don't know) and i relaxed really quick, then went to meet shawna and sharla so that i could take jones to petsmart. that was really fun, except jones was scared in the cart and kept peeing everywhere, including a bed! ("ok, let's keep it moving"~shawna) oh well, we took him back to meet reilly and they didn't really get along very well, but i'm learning that that's what dogs do, so maybe they'll get along eventually. then i went home. you can see pictures from that night on shawna's blog.
saturday, i woke up pretty early and then jones and i went to meet "grandpa" (aka my dad) and the other dogs (his cousins). they also did not get along very well, but oh well. cleo is so spoiled and the alpha dog and she really makes it hard for any dog to be her friend (anti social). then my dad and i took jones and cleo to petsmart for their grand opening. the place where i got him from was there and they recognized him, aww cute. after i hung out with the 'rents, i came back home, tried to set up jones' crate and realized it wasn't the right one, so i had to quickly drive there, return it, buy another one (luckily it set up in 2 mins!) and then change and meet carosa and bundy for dinner at el jardin corona. it's in cedar park, it's a hole in the wall, but it was pretty good. yay! i love finding good mexican food here. after that, we went to rent a movie, and we ended up renting happy endings.
it has a pretty interesting cast: tom arnold, jake gyllenhall, lisa kudrow, etc. it was pretty good. see it if you're in the mood for an indie, comedrama.
on sunday, i woke up pretty late, and jones had a bad day with my carpet. le sigh. oh well, i think he's learning. i ended up talkign to sheavon like almost all day on IM. we were enjoying our "lazy weekends". it was a good weekend, just not long enough, went by soo quick! my mom came over later and we went to garden ridge and walmart and i got some xmas decorations and little things. i came home to seeing jones had escaped AGAIN. boo. silly doglet.
yesterday went by so quickly! i left work at 5 b/c i had worked through lunch (which my work friend gave me a hard time about today--boo! i didn't EAT ALL DAY!) anyway, i came home after visiting hobby lobby and eating at luby's...(you know if you eat there with someone over 55 on mondays, you get a discount, fyi--i didn't lie though my mom is only 50)
anyways, today is TUESDAY, i just got back from petco b/c it's like, going to snow or something and i got jones a little sweatshirt thing, he's always so cold in the morning and considering this morning my thermostat said 57!!!! he needs it! i was wearing flannel pants, sweatshirt and scarf last night. i feel like my grandma, she'd never turn the heater on, she'd just layer on clothes, so she always had on socks, slippers, nightgown, 3 sweaters and a beanie or something. anyways, that's me.
here are some things i was thinking about and wanted to blog about (aka aaron karo *heart*)
*lately i feel like everyone is getting divorced or breaking up and i want to know, where is the love? is it out there? c'mon y'all.
*why do i insist on listening to foreigner "i want to know what love is" on repeat today? -- see above
*has anyone noticed that the pussycat dolls don't have the best english, their 2 hits so far are "dontcha" and "stick wit u". i don't know what the other titles are but geez. (oh yeah and i like both of them...*boo*)
*yes i bought my dog a sweater, but you should SEE some of the crap they have that you can buy your dog! ski jackets, sunglasses, shoes? faux fur wool coats?! booooooo
