so my day off from work was really fun. on tuesday after work i went over to chris' and he had to pack and get last minute things done, we waited for his dad to get home to say hi to him and they we set off. we got a little lost haha, because chris didnt' realize 290 had an exit off 183 and being the great passenger seat person i am, i didnt' say anything, oops. :) anyways, after some detours and stuff, we finally were on our way. we met up with safa, this girl from saudi shabnam? and lid at this shisha bar, fun. after that we just went to lid's and talked for awhile but i kept falling asleep, i was v. tired.
on weds we had to wake up early because chris had to go to the french embassy to get his visa for paris. what was supposed to be 830 turned into 915 because lid choked and didnt' get ready for work in enough time. i managed to get ready in 25 mins, it was amazing, i even chi-ed my hair! unfortunately i put my toiletries in my bag and my mouthwash had somehow opened and leaked and got all over my cream sweater, boo! luckily i had a jacket and it came out with soap and water, but it still sucked. after a really short stint at the embassy, we went to the galleria. i think weds afternoon is the best time to go it was barely crowded. we walked around for awhile, i got my top for new years, it's really cute and light gold (sorry don't have a picture). i think the girls and i decided to go to cuba libre for NYE, it's $20 and then $45 for a table, plus they have dancing and stuff. anyways, we met up with safa for lunch and then walked around some more. we went back to lid's and took a nap, and got ready to meet with shea and l*bo for dinner. we met l*bo at this place called star pizza but at the last minute decided to go to pub fiction and somehow shea was right behind us in traffic, awesome. so we went there and had some drinks and food and talked. they loved him! and he loved them too, yay! after dinner, chris and i went to this place called spec's (huge wine and liquor store) to try to find a wine we had in oklahoma called woop woop! luckily, we found it! it was exciting. then we finally headed back, on the drive home, we saw THREE (3) falling stars, i couldn't believe it! i barely see falling stars and we saw 3. amazing. i didn't get home til 11.30 and fell asleep like at 11.31? haha, but yeah i was so tired and i slept really well.
today i was supposed to have lunch with chris but my boss informed me that we had to go this lunch meeting instead, boo. it took 2 hours and i'm still trying to figure out it's relevance. oh well. the good thing is that it's already 2. i'm not sure what we're doing after work, but it will involve a few things, either, happy feet or nip/tuck marathon with wine, or something else i'm supposed to think of...those are my 2 suggestions so far, so i'm still working.
btw did anyone see the golden globe noms? borat got nominated for like 2 things, which makes me laugh, on the other hand, i'm like, ...seriously golden globes? wtf? i thought it was funny, but golden globe funny? boo.
anyways, i think i'm getting carpal tunnel, and i'm tired.
