well it was a GREAT day today!!
first off, i had barely any traffic on the way to work, so i got there a lot earlier than i thought, i had a cute outfit, but not too dressy, my gray slacks and new pink striped button down from NY&Co, and my black heels. i got to my office (with a window!!) and my boss and i started off by unloading my brand new dell computer, complete with a flat screen monitor! (i got plenty of "LUCKY!" comments all day long!) i got started off with my email and then we went down to a staff meeting, which is just all of our office on the phone with all of the other offices in the southwest...there are only about 25 people (maybe) who work here in austin, and the CEO is like 5 doors down from me!! whooo....anyways, then my boss and i left early to get lunch and she bought me lunch at bennigans..while we were there, 2 girls at the bar were drinking and talking about coming in the next day to take shots or something and my boss leaned over and was like "yeah yager shots in the middle of the day, good idea" and i saw one of the girls! haha, we went to high school together, i didn't say hi, b/c we weren't that close, but i was like it's 1230!!!! i can't believe your'e throwing them back this early...but whatever!
so we went back to eat lunch, then i had to meet with the office manager to fill out a bunch of paperwork..still not done! but it's ok...i read some stuff i needed to read over, and started on a small project. we have a really cool coffee maker that makes single servings and they have like 10 different flavors of coffee...excellent!! anyways, i really like all the peopel who work there, they're all really nice and i just feel really comfortable and like i belong there, i wasn't even nervous when i walked in which i think is a good sign. and my boss and i are really similar, like we coudl be sisters, except she's white, and we get along really well, which is GREAT!
tomorrow i have my first marketing meeting which is cool and i'm taking some of my pens, and books and pictures and stuff to decorate my office, right now it's really bland..i have a cool computer but my desk is really old school, and i have an ugly file cabinet in there too, oh well.
i also got a company hat, shirt and post-its, and keys to the building. sweeet...what else happenend today? hmm, blitch called me to tell me he's buying a ring, so congratulations to him, and the baylor girls kicked UNCs butt! so sic' em bears!! finally! someone's doing something good! lol.
anyways, i'm off, to pick out my outfit for tomorrow, etc. i have ot be in early tomorrow (before 9? ;) ) peace out
