weekend recap:
friday i ended up going to houston with my mom for this little awards ceremony she had to go to, a little earlier than i thought, but whatever...she had to take care of some stuff here first, so we ended up in houston right smack dab in rush hour traffic, sweeet...i called my singletons and wanted to meet up with them while i was there, so while i was waiting through the lack of communication, my mom and i went to DSW to look for shoes, do you know in the galleria there are 2 DSWs within a 5 mile radius? i am SOO jealous..anyways, we went shopping and i bought a cute sweater to go over what i was going to wear to go out later that night wtih the girls..my mom and i ate at this mediterranean (sp?) restaurant which was great, then she dropped me off at shea's apt..it is way cute, we went to the Rice Village and met borrego, carosa, and 2 of borrego's friends at this place called Little Woodrows...now i dont' really like beer, but from 8-10, beer was 99 cents, so i became a beer drinker that night..i only had one, but tried this new beer called B to the E, it's like budweiser with red bull, kind of tastes like raspberry, i liked it alright, but i could see how it could get old..anyways, good to see the girls, thought i might see them saturday too, but didn't get a chance to ..anyways
saturday jenni came and picked me up and we went to this really great thai restaurant and then shopping at the Galleria, i got 2 shirts and a pair of pants, and then got the shopping bug, so all day tomorrow i am going shopping for work!! yay! anywyas, ti was sooo fun, and jenni and i had a great time and galleria is ridiculously huge, so there was no way we could get through it all..i thought for a second how it might be cool to live in houston until we were on the way to where my mom's hotel was..and there was traffic ON A SATURDAY...adn that idea flew out of my head..anywyas, i got to the hotel, and chaengd and my mom came and we went down to the ceremony, at least they fed us and her bosses were buying all the alcohol they could stand, so that made it bearable, but hardly, b/c the thing was 4 1/2 housr LONG!! argh, i was sooo tired...anyways, the next morning, i heard my mom on the phone with my dad saying how we werne't coming home until MONDAY!?!?! WHAT!!?! geez...(*smart thinking to pack an extra pair of underwear*)
sunday we went to lunch with my mom's boss and his family (2 hours later) back to my mom's friend's apt (where we stayed at fri night) and then went shopping with her friend, i got a really cute coach purse, i am really excited about! and my mom got some too and her friend gave her like 5 of her own purses (my mom is a purse guru now), and then we went to get my friend's daughter, holly and go eat at carabbas...what a bummer of a meal, i ordered something and when it came out it was totally not what i thought it shoudl have been but it's waht i ordered, DAMN..i was really glad we had salads, bread and an appetizer to fill me up...then just back to the apt...
today we just went to lunch and then my mom is showing peopel houses in houston now, so good for her, anyways, we went into this GORGEOUS 3700 sq. ft model home, and it was amazing! then my mom and i went to harwin street, and i foudn nothing b/c i was tired and ready to come home!!! geez, and of course, we left at rush hour as well...awesome, we just got back like 45 mins ago..i am sooo tired, and ready to get rested for my busy day tomorrow!! i am ready to shop til i drop, or until i have spent all my allotted money..lol.
i miss my boyfriend, he came back from camping a day early and i wish i could have seen him then, :( oh well..
