my weekend was fun, i tried not to fall into the trap of waiting for someone to call and i think i did a pretty good job, but man. just let me know if this is for real or not. boo.
saturday i went to meet shawna at the drafthouse for lunch and a movie, we went to see match point. it was pretty good, i liked it. scarlett johannsen is a great actress, and hellooooo jonathan rhys meyer. yumm. anyway, without giving anything away, why can guys be such assholes? seriously. after that, we went to the salvation army to find shawna a couch and i browsed some desks, i had no luck with that, but i found this AWESOME leather chair, but with nowhere to put it and no extra $100 lying around, i had to decide against it, but shawna found a really cool couch! yay! it was cheap and seemed light so i think she got a good deal.
after that i went to my parents house to be social with my dad's friends who came into town. my mom made a spectacular mexican feast and i left around 8.30 to get ready for my cousins who were coming into town later to surprise my mom for her birthday. i went to the store and got some food, then back home and cleaned, did laundry and was doing REALLY awesome things for a saturday night, let me tell ya. the cousins got in around 12, and we stayed up talking for a bit, then went to sleep.
i woke up early to the smell of bacon, yum! my cousin was starting to cook the breakfast i had gotten my mom to come over for, unfortunately we had to wait about 2 hours for her to show up. lol, she was so surprised to see my cousins though, it was so great! so we had a good breakfast, then we went shopping. i bought some boots, stop laughing, they were cheap. yes, i'm afraid i'm going country, but dancing was so fun, i didn't want to look too "city" girl while i was in there, so i figured this was a decent purchase. back to my parents for dinner, then back to my house. last night i had a really bad headache, so i started to watch grey's anatomy, but i had to stop and i went to sleep by 10, i RULE! how old am i? damn.
today i'm having lunch with my mom and her friends for her bday, then also dinner with my mom and dad. yay, free food! i had a headache AGAIN this morning, but its gone now, thank goodness.
traffic was horrendous this morning, it took me 40 mins to get out of leander, what the hell? and no wreck or anything...ridiculous.
i hear i intimidate boys...as much "fun" as this sounds, i'd rather be approachable. damn. i KNEW that bra was a bad idea. ;) j/k..
