"i wanna come over, there's a need i can't explain"--melissa etheridge
i don't feel very good today, i woke up with a sinus headache that keeps coming back, kind of like sometimes worse than others, i took some stuff for it, but not sure if it's working. also, my stomach hurts, like i'm not sure what the deal is, it's weird, we'll see how long i last.
this weekend was fun in a very chill way. on friday i went to old navy after work and bought a really cute shirt and skirt that is my goal for summer. then i went home, went to the gym, got ready and met colleen and her friend bobby to go out. i had fun, i drove b/c i didn't want to be crazy, but i still had fun. i got home very sleepily around 3 and went straight to sleep.
saturday i woke up semi-early and as i was dancing while getting ready, i guess i sort of pulled my back. ow! it hurt pretty much all day, but all better now. i spent a lot of the day stretching it out when i was just being idle. my dad and i went to go look at cars, i test drove a mazda tribute and toyota rav4. i absolutely LOVED the rav4 and my dad thinks the price is too high, i don't know what to tell him except that that's how much they cost? and who's paying for it? unfortunately not him. boo. then i came home and one of the salesguys called us and said he had gotten another rav4 and we should come check it out (less miles, etc)
after that i met my mom and her friends at joe's crab shack for the world's longest and worst dinner (about 2 hours). boo. anyway, then i went home and was going to go out but as i was getting ready i started to get really tired and i had been driving all over austin all day and i didn't feel like going back out. then my mom called and said she was in the area and really tired and could she crash at my place, well of course. so i did some laundry, then went to sleep.
sunday i got ready and allison and i went to lucnh, we wanted to eat thai but they were closed!! (boo!) and so we went to china instead, yum! we talked and talked and then i dropped her back off so i could go with my dad to see the new car which is of course, beautiful. anyways, they were closed today so we just took a glance, my dad is in the process of calling the guy right now. awesome. i came back AGAIn and then allison and i went to old navy where i just bought some flip flops and then again, and i went to target with my parents. i bought a cookbook, i'm really excited, i love rachael ray, and my dad loves that i'm trying to cook so he bought it for me, lol. then we came back and watched the Oscars and my mom made a great shrimp paesano dinner, yum!
here are my thoughts on the oscars:
1. i felt like jon stewart was really nervous and was trying too hard (although i did laugh at stuff he said)
2. no one was wearing absolutely amazing dresses, esp. that dang bow on charlize theron's dress, boo!
3. do you think when jennifer aniston walks out on stage, it's kind of like high school, and everyone is like ohh, that's the poor girl who's boyfriend [husband] left her for the school slut? (i'm sooo team jennifer!)
4. really? it's hard out there for a pimp? apparently not if they can win an Oscar...
5. apparently george clooney is everyone's friend? he gets more shout outs than anyone i know
6. is j.lo like important anymore? i just don't know why she got to present something.
7. i loved that my mom thought jennifer garner had a boob job...no mom, she had a baby!
8. i find it odd that keanu reeves was sandra bullock's date, was jesse fixing a motorcycle? it was like speed all over again.
9. was it just me or did it seem like everyone who won could care less? they're like "thanks, see ya"
10. my boyfriend jake gyllenhall was super hot last night!
ok so my stomach seems to be settling but i still feel like crap, i'm going to see how i feel at lunch and get as much stuff done as i can, i feel eh.
