"i'm not who you think i am, let go, get out while you can"--lucy woodward

so i know that everyone is just awating the mardi gras update! and i barely have any pictures! kel took most of them so when those are ready i can post more, but for now you'll have to deal. (all this pictures are horrible, did i wear any makeup? honestly?)

so thursday night i left for houston and chilled with kel. on friday morning i woke up leisurely and her friends met us at her house around 12. we kind of got off to a rough start, we rented a trailblazer but everyone knows suvs have horrible trunk space and we all had like way too much stuff, so after we got that all situated and made a few stops we were on our way! it took us maybe 6.5 or 7 hours to get to NOLA but when we got there, there was a parade going on right in front of our hotel and therefore we were stuck in traffic for about an hour and a half, we finally got to our hotel around 11 and got ready to go out. amazingly enough, we stepped out of our hotel at 12 on the DOT and i was officially 24! (i wore my birthday crown all weekend, awesome)

we headed out to bourban street, which was really fun, not as crowded as i thought, and started getting our beads, contrary to popular belief, you don't necessarily have to flash anything to get anything. lol. a "it's my birthDAY!" usually worked about 90% of the time, which was nice. we got home around 4.30am and went to sleep. the next...afternoon? we woke up late, spent a long time searching through the hotel room for kelli's aggie ring which she eventually found in her underwear? don't ask. and then 4 of us went to harrahs (me, kel, dominique and allison, the other 2 were underage and we never saw them again til 11am on sunday). i only lost $20 gambling and we ate some good food. it started raining so we stayed inside for awhile and predrank til the rain passed. then back to bourban.

it was way more crowded saturday night but still fun. i met up with a friend of mine from saudi and that was really fun, haven't seen him in like...12+ years? wow. we tried to meet up with colleen and shawna but it was hard. boo. anyways, i don't know how much detail is needed, but needless to say i had a lot of fun! i feel really old though, all the "boys" i met on bourban were like 20-21...i let them think i was too. ;)

*getting birthday beads
*meeting my new navy boyfriend, haha
*being in NEW ORLEANS/MARDI GRAS for my BIRTHDAY
*trying not to get syphillus of the foot
*eating pizza late at night
*getting propositioned, then mobbed by the people of girls gone wild...ahhhh
*many more things that i just cannot think of right now, sorry, i thought i had a great list. haha.

i really want to go back, to NOLA and/or mardi gras, perhaps in the fall ...who's game?

it was fun, sunday we left around 12.30 and i didn't get back home til about 11.30 and not to sleep til 1.30, boo. it felt like i slept forever, but obvs i did not, i am looking forward to going to sleep at a decent time tonight. until tomorrow, i leave you with some random pics

i can't decide which is a worse feeling, your feet absolutely hurting so bad you can barely walk or having to pee so bad and not being able to find a bathroom.

randomly, how do people who fall on their asses still win medals at the olympics? i mean, really.

all the people who got kicked off american idol needed to, and the bachelor ends tonight..go sarah...i guess? whatever
