"trying my best to be understood"--the fray
so i'm finally back at work! yay!
yesterday was probably the best day ever when i realized i could finally get back to work. i worked a little during the day and then ce came home later! yay! i was so glad to see her, so we ventured out in the "ice" and got some dinner, then came back to watch american idol. i've been working a lot at night to get this content map thing done and i feel like i'm nowhere near finished, i have a week to get a LOT of it done because the big boss is coming in soon. although there is apparently a massive storm that just hit the UK so maybe not, but still..i will probably have to work more nights just to get stuff on it done, which is fine, thank goodness for good tv!
the ride to work was funny, i was stuck on 183 forever, so i finally took a side road to bypass the stopping, i bet that saved me a good 30 minutes, and it still took me an hour and a half to get to work. blah. all those damn bridges on 183...whatever. the sheets of ice kept falling from signs and light posts which made it seem like they were literally falling from the sky, haha. i'm taking full advantage of being out in the world so tonight i'm going to gym and i am REALLY excited about that, going to the store and maybe seeing my parents. i'm heading out to houston tomorrow to visit with kel and her family so that will be fun. i'm sure i really made myself paranoid and could have gone places but i hate ice and driving in it and mainly i think people in austin dont' know how to drive in rain, let alone ice, so i wasn't going to risk it. now i'm out and so glad, i can't believe i MISSED WORK so much! haha. at least i could talk to chris in the privacy of my own home, yay! his internet is hooked up tomorrow! FINALLY! :)
anyways, can't complain about a 2 day work week and the weekend just around the corner!
i hope everyone had fun on their ice days and stayed warm!

ps. how exciting is it that the office got extended for season #4! holla!! i'm sure friday night lights is just around the corner! hahaha
