"stay a minute, can't you see"--simply red
here's to 2007!!
on friday after work, i went to go meet my dad for dinner, we also stopped by target and best buy. after that, i went home and changed, and then went to pick up shawna, vincent and eric for steph and jarrod's new year eve eve eve party. i had a lot of fun even though i was DD ;). vincent and eric got a little too drunk to drive home and vincent almost threw up in my car, which would have been not cool, but shawna let him sleep on her couch so that was nice of her.
on saturday i woke up sort of early so i could run some errands before i met the girls: bundy, l*bo, shea, ce, and kelli at east side cafe. i went to another target (i was looking for my tv stand and they didn't have it, boo! my mom eventually found it in san antonio and now i have a new tv stand! yay!) we had a really long brunch at east side, which was fabulous. i had some sort of ravioli with seafood or something, yum. then we split up and went to run some errands, the main one was going to the mall because i hadn't found my shoes to wear with my new years outift yet. it was really crowded and eventually i got very frustrated and stressed out and went with plan C, the good ol' trusty "little black dress", the end. after that, we went to target (again) and wanted to get some last minute new years things and also we wanted to play a game. i ended up buying scene it, so if anyone wants to play (i have the dvd this time), i have it. we went to dinner at fuddruckers and chris called me! yay! i hadn't heard from him in like 3 days (be quiet!), it was great to hear his voice!! :) anyways, then we went back to play scene it. kel and i lost on behalf of a stupid tie-breaker, who was shorter than the other, and ce is shorter than me. lame. haha. then we played with shea's new sex and the city dvd set and played all the games on the dvd. fun.
on sunday, we all woke up a little late, and i made breakfast. yum! we all got ready, unfortunately taking cold showers, you can't have 4 girls take showers back to back, boo. then we packed up the car and ran some quick errands. we went to walmart, party city and to get our nails done. we got to the hotel around 4 or so and kelli started drinking so she was drunk by dinner (i passed my torch to her from last year), we met up with ce and gary at ztejas for dinner. also, excellent. then we went back to the hotel for a pre-party and to get ready. we took lots of pictures and drank a lot of wine. when ce and gary came to the hotel, we finally left and went to grab cabs to cuba libre. we got there around 11 i think and danced for awhile. i thought the music was fun because it was like 80s and 90s dance stuff, so i loved it. haha. julie also showed up with her friends, shea kept falling down, we took lots of pictures, i met some guy who i called my "gay boyfriend" b/c i swear he was gay, but he was later making out with some girl at the bar, oops. haha. shea was my new years kiss, aww. lol. my love, chris had texted me around switzerland new year and "text kissed" me. not the same, believe me. anyways, he is back in paris now. awww. after cuba, we decided to walk to katz's, our feet were KILLING us and it was freezing, but oh well. on the way, i ran into sharla, steph, jarrod, eric?, brad and some of their friends walking to get pizza. sharla took me to union park to see shawna and then they both came to katz's with us too. fun times!
on monday, we woke up, and then met gary and ce at freebirds for lunch, and then back home. the girls left at like 2 and i called shawna b/c i thought we were going to see dreamgirls, thank goodness i did! i met her and sharla for the movie and it was AWESOME! go see it! i want the cd. after that i went over to my parents house for dinner: black eyed peas and salmon patties (good low carb-ish), unfortunately my mom made peanut butter cookies, my FAVORITE but i only had one. oh well. i brought them to my office so hopefully someone else will eat them.
today, i've had cheese, one peanut butter cookie (haha, "the good kind of carbs") and a really healthy wrap i got from some little cafe, amazingly good. and no dressing, i couldn't believe it. anyways i'm going to go eat there on a regualr basis b/c they have a lot of salads and healthy stuff that is good so that will be good for the new year!
so i found my new years resolutions from last year, i forgot i had made them, haha. anyways, i didn't do TOO bad.
for '06
1. think long and hard about those pilates and abs classes the gym offers and go sometime - i thought long and hard about them and even bought a dvd and did pilates off and on...
2. try to keep in touch with old friends and new friends - i made new friends, kept current ones (and in touch) and reunited with TONS of old ones!
3. figure out what i want in a significant other - i had a good 6 months to figure this out and found him!
4. stop wasting my kisses on the ones that don't matter - uhh...oops. *blush*
5. try to make a budget in such a way that i can go to vegas, be a good bridesmaid and NYC this year. - i was a good bridesmaid i think AND i went to NYE and i think the vegas money was put into 2 okc trips instead.
here are my resolutions for 2007:
1. make more decisions, i didn't say good or bad, i just mean, make up my mind about things
2. not be such a planner, everyone knows i like to plan ahead...i'm going to try to learn to be more flexible, (that doesn't mean you won't get your invite to the bday party soon though! haha) 3. not stress out about money so much
4. TRAVEL!
5. low carb and gym at least 3x a week..
