"nothing is the same after tonight"--incubus
so yesterday was a really good day..:) after work i went over to chris' and picked him up to go to have dinner at my parents house. my mom made this really good seafood casserole thing, yum-o! after dinner, we sat down and watched our 9th grade video...yes, i said 9th grade. it's so crazy. later on, i'm like...umm that was 10 years ago...and here we are. c-razy.
after that, we went downtown to the 2nd street district. my boss gave me gift certificates to this place called cru, it's a really cute wine bar. i wanted to make sure we used them before chris left, and since we had no plans we had another cuties' Q.T/wine date. it was really good, we shared a bottle of wine and sat under the heaters and had some really good talks about future stuff. he also got me really excited about coming to paris, yay! it's really not that far away! (the time, not paris) anywaysssss, i had gotten a really great parking spot on 6th and congress, i might have stolen it from someone, but he stopped too soon and i couldn't tell what he was doing, and my car wasn't keyed when i got back, so i figured it was fine. we walked back to the car and i know chris wanted to go to firehouse before he left and i was still sobering up, so we went over there for a little bit. after that, i dropped him off and then went home and went straight to sleep. ce was actually when i got home around 2.15 or so, but we were both so tired it was like "hi roommate, good night"
i struggled to wake up this morning, i'm pretty sure i might have slept through some alarms, but i got to work ok. i'm taking a half day so that's fun, and the best part about today so far is that there are 2 guys who are retiring and they hired an omelette guy to come and make us omelettes for our friday breakfast with bagels and fruit and mimosas. so really the best part is i'm about to be tipsy before 10am. lush? i think so. anyways, it was fabulous. after work i'm going to the mall or have lunch with my mom and see chris, or all 3 together. i can't figure it out, but my mom called last night and said she needed to sleep and i NEED to finish christmas shopping so i can't really wait. i'll just let her call me. .
anyways, i only have like 2 hours left of work, i think more mimosas are in order.
i probably won't write in here before xmas, so everyone have a fabulous holiday weekend!!
