i'm trying to get back in the swing of things...i was just reading lesli's blog about spring, while i'm here in texas and it's about 70ish degrees, it's very muggy outside, not my idea of perfect weather, so while i wait for it, i 'm going to also start thinking about my list of favorite things...thanks for inspiring me!
anyway, this week has been a mess of trying to get back on regular time, note that i DID get home so late on sun that i went to bed straight away and didn't think it would be tough to get back on time, but around 3pm i pretty much want to crawl under my desk and sleep. monday all i did was laundry and catch up on tv. also my computer is apparently dying so i was very upset about it. tuesday i almost fell asleep during a conference call and also at 330pm in a last minute meeting with my boss. fabulous. i watched american idol and then found out my computer did in fact work! yessssss. ...well so far. i'm more concerned about my 3000+ files of music that i could possibly lose, so really...i don't think the storm is over.
now in true form during american idol season, i always like to recap the contestants. note i didn't really watch last week, but it doesnt' matter, i heard brandon forgot the words, i wish he hadn't gone home but i mean oh well. i don't think it's any secret that i'm not a huge fan of any of the contestants. i'm pretty sure a girl is going to win this year and my money is on melinda. so anyways, last night was "british invasion" night, i enjoyed it a lot actually and want to go connect to the oldies i listened to with my mother when i was younger and remember those times. anyways besides that, i was pretty entertained most of the night, even by my least favorite people, aka haley and was more amused by sanjaya's attempt at rock and the crazy 12 year old girl who was BAWLING at the sight of all american idols. although if i were 12 and it was last season i would have been the same way. anyone know how i can meet chris daughtry? anyways, the only one i really didn't enjoy was phil stacey's performance. i don't like chris richardson either. so basically, i would be ok if phil, sanjaya or chris went home, or even stephanie edwards...i mean who IS she? no honestly, WHO is she? she leaves nothing that remimds me who she is. i don't know. anyways, my money is on phil or stephanie to leave tonight, but we'll see.
anyways, for me, i will keep my favorites this season to a mere 5:

blake lewis (only b/c he is sort of cute and i enjoy the performances, but i think we all know he can't really sing)
anyways that's all, i'm looking forward toa quiet weekend, with no alarm set, and sleeping in with the rain and all. also i'm going to see the lion king on friday! i'm so excited!!
