“she needs somebody to tell her that you’ll always be together” – bryan adams, sung by chris daughtry
ok so blogger is being ultimately gay, it’s giving me a debug error and I can’t type, so I’m typing this in word. I’m sure everyone wants to know about mardi gras. I feel like I’m getting a little over blogging. no one wants to know about every detail in my everyday life so I’m probably just going to start blogging about exciting things (ie. mardi gras, bday weekend, paris), otherwise it’s a tossup if I blog. it’s just getting tedious.
anyways, the short of mardi gras was great, my mom and I got into NOLA at around 2.30, we got the shuttle and set off to the hotel, then we walked around canal and bourbon streets. fun! we ended up eating at this great place called mothers and then went to catch the parades, which were our downfall for the rest of the trip, we have over 50lbs of beads, if anyone needs beads, please see me. two people also attempted to “save us”, unfortunately for them, we’ve already been saved, thanks though. Saturday we went to brunch at the court of two sisters and I ended up running into chris and shaun, friends of shawna’s we met on st. pattys’ day ’06 in Lavaca st. bar. weird. so we talked to them for a bit and then headed out, we did a little shopping and went back to the hotel so I could change my shoes. kelli and shea arrived about that time so we met them and got ready to eat dinner and go to bourbon. bourbon was fun, except I got my phone stolen, I guess the guy thought it was my wallet and when it wasn’t, dumped it on the ground, when we called the phone later on, it was a girl who answered and she brought it back to the hotel the next morning, which was really sweet of her.
Sunday we went to harrah’s for brunch and a little gambling, I won some money on roulette! yay! I don’t’ really remember a lot about Sunday, but we went to bourbon again and got up on a balcony and threw some of our beads off it, it was probably one of the better times, that was so much more fun than walking through the crowds. after some crazy weird people at the frat house, we ended up going home kind of early, mama sims wasn’t in the room when we got there (at 1.30am) and it turns out she had almost gotten arrested, a slot machine wouldn’t let her go and she had almost OD’d on brandy alexanders, the next morning she claimed to have the “24 hour bug that I talk about all the time”. haha, whatever. on Monday, we walked around the French market which was so nice and clean and what I always imagined NOLA to be, it was very quaint, nice. we were starting to get cranky by this point, so when kelli wanted to take us down to st. charles to watch the parades, it was just a lot of walking, eventually we got down there and turned around. on the walk, I ran into sean huver from Saudi, and later on, his friends and him met me outside our hotel, since the parade route when right past it. we had a lot of fun that last night. I was getting sick so I didn’t want to go out, but kelli and shea went out, mama sims and I packed and then took one last trip to harrah’s where I hit a few numbers and if I hadn’t bet $30 I would have come home with almost $75 oh well! it was fun, next time I’m not staying for as long, but it was good, minus any drama. haha.
anyways, I almost lost my phone again right now, it fell out of my pocket, some guy picked it up and gave it back, nice. anyways, other things for this blog:
Britney spears, please get help. seriously, now I’m just sad for you. you’re letting k-fed win and no one wants that. get. help. soon. <3.
also, we all know that american idol is back and I watch from the beginning. let me start off my saying that I’m not really impressed with anyone, so far I’m disappointed with this season, after Kelly Clarkson and my absolute favorite chris daughtry, speaking of, he’s on the ipod right now, heart. it’s kind of boring to watch so far, but b/c I’m a big supporter, I picked out a few people I wouldn’t mind seeing in the top 12. these are also based on their original auditions, some of them really sucked last night but I remembered their auditions and I had hoped they would be better.
guys:
*chris Richardson (except he acts too much like Justin timberlake)
*nick pedro
*blake lewis
*phil Stacey
girls:
*lakisha jones
*gina glocksen
*Melinda Doolittle
*alaina Alexander
*jordin sparks, sort of
I had haley scarnato on my list but she really sucked last night and I was just being supportive b/c she was from texas, oh well. peace.
can’t wait til this weekend! going out tomorrow! and party on Saturday, yay!!!
can’t wait to see everyone!
peace.
