so mama sims' bday was a lot of fun, i went over to my parents house and picked them up and then we went to ruth's chris steakhouse downtown, i ate waaaaaay too much and was convinced i would never eat again, until yesterday morning my boss brought us breakfast tacos...oops. haha. oh well. the week seems to be both dragging by as well as going by fast, it's real weird...eh.
anyway, yesterday after work i went to see the departed with a girl from work. i decided that maybe going to the movies on a weeknight right after work should be one of my new rituals. the theaters are barely full, the guy charged us for matinee prices (even though it wasn't a matinee time) and there's nothing wrong with going to a movie by yourself...so i think maybe i can catch up on my oscar movies very quickly by doing that...there actually aren't too many i want to see, but i still have some catching up to do. anyways! the departed...could anymore people get shot in the head? haha, other than that, wow. i thought it was very well-written...i am always amazed at people who are able to write screenplays like that, making me stay very involved with the movie and trying to figure things out. good job. marky mark didn't hurt either haha. after that i just went home and watched some tv.
i watched beauty and the geek, boo! my favorite team mario and nadia left :( i was so sad! i hate cc g! i'm hoping for a sweep from behind and scooter and megan take it all haha. too bad they can't switch teams, i would put nate and jennylee together and kick off cc. stupid girl. i was a very big fan of jennylee's and niel's dog...ahh a bulldog, heart! anyways...i watched american idol too, tell me why i cry at tv now? if anyone watched it, did you see the 64 year old guy go up there? he had gotten a petition signed so that he could audition, it was like what he did to keep his wife's spirits up while she was battling cancer and he was like just really doing it for her and keep her mind off the whole thing. and she had passed away like 2 days earlier, i cried. i LOVE old romantic stories like that, where the old couple is just so in love and would do anything for the other, it just breaks my heart, and they let him sing...and were very nice to him. obvs he wasn't going to hollywood, but i thought it was neat that they let him go up there. (i was concerned at first, b/c they've showed a few people audition who are obvs older than 28, where do they find these people, but this guy was honestly doing some good. so sweet) ANYWAYS, then i just went to bed.
on a side note: i really really heart chris daughtry, his cd is great! i thnk it's prob one of the best american idol cd's to come out: a la kelly clarkson/carrie underwood...who wants to hear taylor hicks? NOT ME! anyways, all of the songs are GREAT (except for like one). unfortunately everyone else agrees b/c his concert is sold out the weekend of my bday! BOO! anyways, who wants to come and help me find him? haha...just kidding, but i DO want to go out that friday.
well it's 11, thank goodness, got some work to do around here...fun fun. tonight i'm going to see lucy graduate, awww...and then go to the gym, thurs night tv, and etc. this weekend should be fun, but cold! i have a hair appt on sat and prob watch the super bowl with the parents on sunday. GO COLTS!
