so this weekend was fun, on friday i went over to my parents house and rose and thad were in town, so we had a very good dinner and then we took a family trip to walmart, it was new, haha. and it was the best walmart i've ever been too. it's like hidden so i don't think people know it's there. while i was there, i asked my parents for an ipod shuffle for my bday and he laughed, i boo-ed. and told him they were only $80, COME ON! anyways, we'll see what happens on my bday! anyways after that i just came home, my mom finally gave me my actual plane ticket for paris so it is safe and sound in my house :)
on saturday, i woke up sort of early and went over to my parents house to drop off some stuff, then i met up with shea, kelli, lbo and her friends, amber, mimi and katie at hula hut. i don't ever go to hula hut, in fact iv'e been there 2x and only eaten once b/c for whatever reason, whatever i had there was gross, and i never wanted to eat there again, so for the past 9 years or so i've boycotted it. boy, i have been MISSING OUT! what the hell is wrong with me? i got shrimp enchiladas and they were FABULOUS! ok, so if y'all ever go to hula hut, i'm game, it's great! after that we all went to the mall, i got 2 pairs of shoes, i was so excited! i went to get open toe black and brown shoes and that's what i ended up with! yay! after that, shea, kelli and i went back to my house to rest and get ready to go out. we ate dinner at bennigans and then met up with lbo and the girls at their hotel to pre-party. we got the holiday inn shuttle to drop us off and we started at iron cactus, it was fun, ce and gary ended up meeting us there and then we wanted to dance, so i suggested pure but apparnetly they adopted their sister's vicci's cover system on saturday so we didn't want to pay, we made a pit stop in touche and then went to spill and spent the rest of the night there. it was fun dancing all night, and later chris' friends' shaft and safa met up with us, fun. anyways, after getting stuck in traffic at 3am (who knew?) and losing kelli's phone, we got home around 4? and went to sleep.
the next morning, kel and shea left early and i went to meet up with lbo, katie, ce and gary for lunch at which wich, also another great food find! (this was also the weekend i decided to stop eating forever? ok) we were there for a really long time, then i went home and tried to organize my study, this meant moving a table out, a tv stand in and setting up my wireless router. yay! i also watched the grammy's, boy did they suck. my favorite parts included JT's performance (the first one...oh really? your song is about your BEST FRIEND? whatever), carrie underwood and rascal flatts and the dixie chicks. i really could care less about the awards. i'm glad that carrie underwood, the dixie chicks and john mayer won stuff. john mayer's album is great, blah blah blah. whatever. ok so.......
chris didn't have internet last night or today (he went to london with friends this weekend and his friend stayed at his apt in paris and so he thought he broke it), i told him to unplug the modem and plug it back in, he didn't believe me, and 5 minutes later i got a call saying it worked. thank you. IT rep. i mean really, when in doubt? reboot. or unplug.
so i am starting to get EXTREMELY excited for my trips: this weekend mardi gras and then birthday! and then paris! i can't wait to have days off!! REAL DAYS OFF!
