so this weekend was good, despite the ridiculous weather.
i had gone to my parents house on thursday night to be ready to go to SA on friday but my mom didn't get home til 12 and needed to sleep and i hadn't packed accordingly for the "winter" weather, so she slept while i went home to get different clothes, we finally left around 4 and straight to sea island, yum! then we went to see my aunt's new house, she has it so cute and everything it made me want to paint my walls and clean my house...we stayed there for what seemed like forever and then finally left to stay with my cousin. we dont' usually stay with her but my mom tricked me and actually hadn't ASKED anyone to stay with them so at a last minute effort we stayed with my cousin. that was good, we watched blood diamond, which was a really great movie, i recommend it!
we slept in on saturday, well i tried, i got a phone call from chris at the same minute (no lie) that i was having a dream that i was talking to him at the same time. he's in ireland right now so our communication is limited so i of course woke up right away. after we all finally got ready, we went to meet my aunt and uncle at our favorite mexican restaurant (in the freezing cold and rainy weather) and then just hung out, driving around and shopping, i got some pillows for my bed, yay! and am trying to figure out different ways to decorate my house. we came back on saturday night, and it was sleeting, so crazy! i got text messages from both l*bo and bundy saying it was snowing (in waco and belton), so weird. anyway, because it was sleeting i just decided to stay at my parents house again.
on sunday, i woke up and my mom really wanted to go to church, so i humored her and we went. after that we went to tgif's sunday brunch, it was ok, they were charging $30/person for food that was running out so i drank bottomless mimosas while my mom complained and they gave us basically one meal free, nice. after that, we went to home depot so i could get paint samples and then i went to watch golf with my dad, fun fun fun. i finally went home and made some really good salmon! and watched casablanca. i guess i was expecting a different ending but i'm glad i finally saw it! it was really good and reminded me why i love old movies. heart.
so this is really random, anyway, you know how you can look at something and it can bring back a memory of something? well most everyone knows by now that chris and i went to middle school together, (yes how cute). ok so we were obviously friends then, blah blah. but i was in my old bathroom and i saw this oil burner (it's like those things you put scented oil in and burn a candle underneath and it like, lets off vapors?) and i was like just looking at it and then................ !!!! OMG! CHRIS GAVE THAT TO ME FOR MY 15th BIRTHDAY! haha, the only reason i remember that was because i remember opening it and being like 'there is no way he picked this out himself'. it was purple and at that time purple was my favorite color...heart. i'm pretty sure he also gave me this purple purse which i still have too, anyway, i thought i would let everyone into a glimpse of my life with chris, and also make everyone gag at how cute we are, hahahaha. just kidding.
anyway, i'm glad it's going to get warm again tomorrow and that i don't have to go anywhere this weekend, wheeeeee!
