so i had a pretty good weekend all in all.
on friday i went to SA with my mom to get fitted for my bridesmaid dress. i got teal! yay i'm so excited!! after that, we went to my aunt julie's and i went to sleep really early b/c i was exhausted. the next morning i woke up to a wonderful storm and got ready and my mom, aunt and i went to get me fitted for the rest of my dress, except my aunt insisted we take her to an estate sale first (not in the plans), boo. after that and being fitted, my mom and i headed back to SA to pick up my niece, candy. erica and her bf were in town promoting his website at some auto show or something in austin, so my mom agreed to babysit. we met them at baby a's. for those who know the family storylines, this is the cousin who lives in waco (clifton) with her rapper bf, and has the stripper daughter (as i call her, lol, she's 3, so not really a stripper, it's just her name).
after that, i went back to my parents house and hung out and then got ready to go out. i met kelli at her apt because she had gotten us really tasty food from phoenicia bakery. since we were going to watch a movie about saudi, we figured that getting arabic food would be the best way to go. it was really good, so after she got ready, we situated our ride downtown, i decided to drive because i wanted to be able to leave when i wanted, and since the thing started at 8, i knew i could drink for a few hours and still come back at 2. so we got a great parking spot and went to firehouse. they started the movie pretty much on time so i couldn't really see anyone around, i did see julie and her friend shelley though, so that was good. kelli and i just ended up sitting at the bar b/c we hadn't gotten drinks yet when the movie started and didn't want to find other seats when 2 barstools were already open. it ended up being our demise, since we were there for like 1.5 hours just constantly drinking. oops.
anyway, after the movie, i made rounds and ran into some people i hadn't seen for years or even people i had known of, but never really met. it was great. the wonderful thing about the place we grew up is it doesn't really matter if you weren't friends then, you are friends now, it's like a very large extended family and i feel very lucky to have that. anyway after awhile, i cut myself and was just talking and we ended up deciding to go to vicci with some people, so kelli and i went with julie and shelley, shaft, aaron and his gf to vicci. thank god we didn't have to pay cover, lol. anyway, after some dancing and loud talking, kelli was hungry and i needed to sit and eat something to soak up the leftover alcohol, so we took julie and shelley and went to katz's. it was really fun. on the way back to the car, kelli and i ran into a work friend of mine, which was a little weird b/c i dont' really like to mix my business and pleasure, so we talked ot him for a little bit and then went on to the car. i dropped her off at almost 3 and realized that it was 3 and i had to go to my mom's for breakfast and she said i could stay over if i wanted, so i just thought i would. who wants to drive back to leander and then back to lakeway at 330am? no one.
on sunday i woke up and went to my parents' house for breakfast, the sun was out so i got to lay out! yay! i went to lunch/dinner with kelli at souper salad and then i went home. i started to do some laundry and just clean up some things. good sunday overall, it seemed really long and i'm really excited i got to bronze myself, finally.
anyway, i'm really excited b/c the days keep going fast this week which means chris gets home sooner than it feels like!! anyway, i have no major plans this week, i want to get a pedicure, finish cleaning up my house and maybe get my car cleaned on the inside, but then again, i can do that, considering it will rain all week or might, i'll just do it myself. another piece of exciting news is i got my bonus today! soo exciting!! it's like christmas in july! haha.
