have you had your latin kiss today?

it doesn't get much better than this

So Friday was one of the most perfect days ever. After having a very nice, long breakfast, I ended up going with some co-workers to look at puppies for like - ever. One of them got a super cute puppy, they were rescue pups, some sort of shephard mix, and it slept on my lap the whole way back to the office. I'm in love and now I want a dog...sort of. I still want to be able to travel and things and not have to worry about who's going to take care of it, but soon, we will get one :) Anyway, then after work, I met my mom to eat some pho and then went home to get ready to go out for Amy's birthday. She decided at the last minute that she wanted to go out. So I met her and some of her friends at her parents house and then we headed downtown.

I will leave out pretty much all of the details as I have not drank as much as I did on Friday in MONTHS (not even on my bachelorette). All in all, it was a blast! I saw some random guy that I used to go to school with in Saudi (not counting all the rest of the Saudi peeps with us), it was random but it's just so funny and no one really understands. No matter how much time has gone by, these are your best friends within seconds, it's a bond that cannot be explained or broken, really. Anyway, I had a GREAT time but don't plan on doing that for awhile. The next morning I was awakened by the dogs, and had a semi 24-hr bug but quickly turned into a cold/flu thing - boo. (Also, finding outside: a scarf on the lawn, credit card on the driveway and camera on top of Amy's car...none of these were mine)

Amy and I met my mom for lunch and then my mom and I went shopping. This whole "less than a month to go" thing has me making quick decisions and realizing how little the details matter, I mean really, no one cares what the placecards look like, nor will they care how much time and effort I put into them. Which is why, I decided to print them from an exisiting template - done. Why when we went to Paper Place to find paper for programs and they only had 69 sheets of the paper I loved, I got another 70 sheets of paper that was very similar and said, you know what, no one will care, it actually is a cute touch (they actually match). We also went to pick up my mom's dress from the alterations place. Then I had to get Amy to take her downtown to pick up her car from the night before and then went home, popped some Nyquil and slept for like 12 hours, best.thing.ever.

I went shopping with Amy yesterday and then came home, and finished the program! Yay! Printing this weekend! I received the bridesmaid gifts (which I can't say what they are, since I have a few bridesmaids out there reading this) but I was soo impressed! They are perfect and I'm very glad I ordered one for myself too :) My mom is looking at linens today and when my Paypal account gets the money I transferred, I'm ordering my garter. Done and done. Things are getting done so quickly and I can't wait!

Today I got my teeth cleaned, blah blah. I haven't done that in awhile so it was uncomfortable but I really like the new place I'm going to. Very nice people, plus they offer you water, magazines and blankets while you are waiting for the dentist. Yes, please. Thank you Vincent for the recommendation.

Chris comes home in 16 days!
We get married in 26!
