so i finally took the time a few months ago to make a playlist on my ipod of songs i will never skip, it makes the drive to work much more bearable as well as the time at work when i'm listening to my ipod. today i was listening to said play list and daughtry's "what about now" came on, if you listen to the radio at all, you'll know this is the most recent "hits" off their 2006 album and i realized how much i absolutely LOVE this song, it's one of my favorites off the album (which by the way is great, and i can't wait until album #2, i'm not quite sure what they're waiting for, i'm a very big fan of albums which i can listen the whole way through and not skip).

chris daughtry was my favorite american idol on his season and i just about cried when on that fateful day he was kicked off instead of katherine mcphee. what a joke taylor hicks was, and who has been one of the best selling american idols since kelly clarkson and carrie underwood? yes, that's right. chris daughtry. in any case, this made me think of david cook, the american idol from this past year. thank goodness, lucky number 7 - i finally picked someone from the auditions who made it to the top! and i remembered how excited i am to pick up his new album (in stores nov 18). i love the single "light on" and unfortunately with only 2 paychecks i have coming my way i'm saving my money to pay for christmas gifts (and unfortunately not for myself) so i will be asking for this album for christmas and have to wait what seems like for.ev.er to listen to it. i shouldn't be expecting something as amazing as chris daughtry i don't think, but i am excited nonetheless.

then i was checking something on yahoo and saw that the twilight soundtrack has become #1 which is supposed to be somewhat short of amazing for a soundtrack to a movie that hasnt' been released yet. as i have no idea what the hell is on the soundtrack, i would be lying if i said i wasn't super excited about the movie. i jumped on the twilight bandwagon in early october and have been speeding through the 400+ page books ever since. chris makes fun of me and my "vampires" but the books ARE really intriguing. and with nothing but wedding stuff to do, i appreciate the mindless reading it allows me to do. I am about 100 pages short of the end of book 3 - eclipse and so guess what ELSE is on my christmas list of 2008? the last and final book, breaking dawn, and i can't wait - it also helps i have a 13 hour plane ride in my future haha. and yes, i WILL go and see the movie, no matter how awful and cheesey the previews have been. i mean...after i spent so many hours involved in this series, why wouldn't i want to go? (and no, harry potter and lord of the rings are not in my near future)

on a happy wedding note, my mom went to look at table linens (a last minute decision made sometime...i don't quite remember when) and took a bunch of pictures which i browsed through last night. she called me earlier today to talk about them and went on and on until i finally stopped her and said "mom, i like the swirly design on white sheer tableclothes and the chocolate satin sash for the chairs. the end" i LOVE being an decisive bride - where was i 6 months ago? ;) well i'd show pictures, but 1, i don't have them and 2, you'll just have to be surprised. anyway everything is finally just about done :) everything is ordered, just taking care of all the last minute vendor payments and forms that need to be filled out and we're ready! :) yay!!
