"hot town, summer in the city...isn't it a pity, doesn't seem to be a shadow in the city"--lovin' spoonful
so yesterday i got home from work and i think my dad had turned the AC upstairs to 87 degrees...thanks dad, 78 is just fine, so i changed it, geez, it was like a freakin' sauna up there.
then allison came to get me and we met shawna to see the sisterhood of the traveling pants, it was cute. i mean sure it was directed at high school and younger girls, but i think they did a good job of making all the characters different and made you feel sympathetic towards them. i did occasionally make random comments about certain scenes, but all in all, i loved all the characters, despite some cheesiness factors, it was cute, and of course i cried, as did every other girl in the audience, but whatever...i think shawna and allison felt the same.
today is friday! yay! i'm so excited, not only is it bagel friday (yum!) but it's bonus party for the downstairs office! they have chips, salsa, queso, limes (?) and like 10 diff. kinds of beer in the fridge, and it's being catered by some place, i'll let you know how that goes...really it's just a chance for free food and to leave early! sweet! also, boyfriend is coming into town and i feel like this weekend is all planned out.
friday: dinner, 6th street (?)
saturday: park/lake, house shopping and movie (mr. & mrs. smith)
sunday: boyfriend leaves, i have to go see my sick aunt :(
it should be fun, i am DETERMINED to get some sun and the park should be a good place to get it.
