here is my weekend update:
friday:
i had to work through lunch like i mentioned earlier, it wasn't that great of an idea, i sat down on the floor b/c i was feeling light headed and ended up falling asleep behind my desk (oooh, office faux pas) and i REALLY wanted to leave super early...anyways, i left around 4 and i got there in plenty of time, went to truett, touched up the makeup and waited for the rehearsal to be over. the wedding was brandon & lauren's, brandon is andy's old roommate. the couple looks like they are about 16, no offense to them, they just looked young to be getting married. when i was sitting in the lobby, i saw this girl waiting to walk down the aisle and i thought "why are they letting the flower girl go last?" ...oh right, b/c it WASNT the flower girl, it was lauren, the bride...she looked so tiny!! whatever. anyway, i went in and watched the last of the rehearsal and talked to andy's boss (who was running the sound) while i waited. then andy and i went to drop off my stuff (in the pouring rain) and went to the dinner. it was catered by johnny carinos and we got there just in time to hear brandon's dad's speech and then eat! yay! i was starving! drew showed up fashionably late, and we all ate together. then we went home to change and then met drew and some other people up at cricket's, you know i never went there as much as i do now, when i went to baylor, weird..anyways, considering i hadn't eaten much all day, i was pretty much toasted after 1.5 vodka/sprites...sweet...i had 3 though...and i felt like a lush, b/c i was introduced to all these people that andy hangs out with who've "heard" about me, and now they meet me and i'm a drunk. great. whatever, don't judge me. (thanks shawna!) i very much wanted to drink and i did, and i didn't remember much after walking out the door of crickets to go home, but the best part was waking up at 830 and feeling fine! yay!
saturday:
bundy drove in from austin early and came by andy's, we picked up tj, went to mcdonalds for some breakfast, then went to drew's to go out on the boat. it was kind of overcast and really windy so were weren't out for that long, boo! we came back to the apt, and decided to go eat lunch, so bundy, andy, tj and i went to this bbq restaurant called smokey bones, where everyone got chicken tenders but me, i had lots of salad, i guess i was trying to be healthy, and our waiter was like really friendly and social, he was funny. after lunch, we dropped off tj and went back to andy's so he could get ready to go to truett for pictures, after he left, bundy and i went to common grounds and ooh-ed & ahh-ed at all the changes they've made to it, (they're not huge changes, but ya know), then came back to get ready while watching some sex and the city... after we got ready, and looked super hot, we went to the wedding. here are the highs and lows of the wedding (no need to type it all)
highs:
*i teared up watching lauren walk down the aisle, then catching brandon smiling SOO big, he loves her so much, it was so sweet, and her dress was amazing.
*it was a short ceremony
*the ring bearers couldn't keep still causing a huge laugh among everyone.
*i looked hot (so did bundy and so did andy)
*coffee bar
*a big chest of fortune cookies! (with fortunes such as "thanks for coming to our wedding"..andy's reply: "that's not a FORTUNE!...i want another one!"
lows:
*an asian theme: i.e. bridesmaids in kimonos and sticks in their hair, mom in kimono, speaker in kimono (note to readers: lauren is not asian, her parents have lived in china for a year...this is like if i were to have a saudi-themed wedding...but mine would be understandable b/c that was half of my life..whatever)
*a looooong unity candle song, while everyone stared at the bride and groom
*sitting on one side of my boyfriend's mom, while his serious ex-girlfriend sat on the other side of her (with her husband) and yes, later, ANOTHER ex-girlfriend sitting at the same table of above ex-girlfriend...poor andy)
*no alcohol
*reception was outside...it was hot AND humid and bride & groom were inside, so we didn't know what was going on (ie. cake cutting, etc)
it was one of those weddings where i was like...and i don't want to do ____ at my wedding...but aren't all weddings like that? oh well. we came home and andy showered, and then we went over to tj's...i am so glad that he is within walking distance, like 2 mins, so we took some alcohol over there and just hung out...i remember more about last night, but i felt it today...boo!
today:
woke up late, got ready, packed, then andy, tj and i went to cameron park and andy cooked out some hamburgers and hotdogs and we hung out there. it was hot, i was cranky, i was tired, but it was fun. we came back and i left. i think that i talked about my ipod and started too many sentences with "well, in saudi...." i don't know why i was feeling so sentimental today, but whatever. hehe. i came home and jumped into the pool, despite the sea green color, damn pool cleaners, and now i am about to pass out. i just talked to stephen gulley, he was on my new york experience...i was really glad to talk to him b/c i haven't for a few months, and he randomly IMed me, he is a really geniune guy, and i am glad to have him as a friend b/c he's nice, and doesn't want to hit on me (andy should approve of him as a friend! hehe). he told me he's graduating in august and moving to chicago, boo! but he seems fine with it. he says he is doing ok right now, i am sure that he is still hurting b/c of his brother, and i send my prayers out to him. anyway, we talked about getting coffee maybe sometime when i am in waco.
right now, my dad and i ordered pizza, it almost was $20, no wonder why they give you coupons, 1 freakin' large pizza..geez.
whatever, i am sooo freakin' tired right now and i'm watching spider-man on tbs...
another exciting thing, i came home and found out my dad hooked up the wireless internet! yay!!!!!! i am wire free once again!
anyways, all in all, this weekend was really fun! andy was amazing and we had such a good time and so much fun! aww boyfriend, i love you ..(sorry to be mushy readers)
