"i, wanna fall from the stars, straight into your arms"--simply red

hey this may ruffle a few feathers and before i start, let me just say, there is nothing wrong with being single or taken, and i think it's ridiculous that people can be shafted from a group or feel left out if they are one or the other and they are surrounded by others who aren't...i think in this post i may contradict myself, so just keep that in mind.

this is going off a comment said by my lovely friend allison last night in target, while purusing the book section: "i hate that all books now are all about how being single is the way to be" [something along those lines] and then we proceeded to talk about how maybe we'd write a book that is called maybe it IS you or yes, you really were overreacting that day and came up with plenty of titles, more of which were to our own amusement. this is not to dog ANY of my single friends, b/c i love all of y'all and this isn't dogging the single factor, more that our society is forgetting that there ARE couples out there and some of them actually happen to work out. it's like a lose-lose situation.

anyways, i keep writing stuff, then deleting b/c my argument isn't really going in the way i expected it to. so i'll just stop and say this: single or taken, appreciate the life you have and that you lead...and don't forget the grass is always greener on the other side, or so the saying goes (note to readers: i'm not saying i want to be single, i'm just trying to write something here)
anyways, i wish society would make up their mind about which is "better" to be...i don't think there is ONE option that is better, i think each one has their perks, but awhile ago it was FIND A BOYFRIEND, now it's YOU'RE HOT, YOU'RE SINGLE...whatever, if you're happy, what should it matter?
