and it's time for the weekend update:
friday i came home and tried to pack up the rest of my crap, i might have gone to target, but i don't remember..yeah my friday was THAT exciting. whatever.
saturday i slept in some, then ate some breakfast, packed some stuff into the 4runner, and my dad and i headed down to my house. mainly it was some clothes and a bookshelf, after we put together my guest bed, we went back home, where i got MORE stuff together and then took a nap. my mom insisted i stay for dinner since it was my first night in the big house, so i obliged. then i said farewell, and drove to my house, i was running a little late, so i quickly unloaded, showered and got ready within 40 mins, that's right, call me awesome. then i drove over to shawna's, and we hung out, then went to pick up a drunk lesli from the airport. then we drove through scary east austin looking for the red scoot inn to go to shawna's friend's party (which i swear was a birthday party but it was a going away party--imagine her friend's face when i said "HAPPY BIRTHDAY!", maybe i was the drunk one? whatever.) so we ate some food and were anti-social, then went back to shawna's so she could take a shot and i could drive us downtown. we got a pretty decent spot, although lesli claimed we were "so far", and went to lavaca street. it's sad to me that i can't really have fun when i'm not drinking. shawna DID buy me a drink (would you like some coke with your rum?) so that was nice of her. we also ran into potter, a guy we knew from baylor, and then he left really early (b/c he's soo "old"), lol. poor shawna was the only one drinking and having fun, and lesli was about to pass out and i was just looking around. lots of old people at this bar, boo. "nothing to see here, keep moving" was our theme of the night. anyways, we left a little before 2, i dropped off shawna and lesli and made my journey out to my house.
so the first night in the house was alright, i set up the most important things: internet and dvr, i'm such a nerd. then went to sleep. slept in, tried to do some stuff around the house, and showered, then made my first trip to walmart and heb for the necessary items and food...sooo, 2 hours and $250 later, i was back home. boo! who knew it would be so expensive? but i NEEDED everything (ok, i probably didn't need season 6 pt. 2 of sex and the city, but my collection is complete now! and i've been wanting it since like march) and that really didn't do THAT much more damage to the total. then i went to my parents house to round up some more of my crap and clean up a little, loaded the car up, relaxed, then my mom brought dinner home, so i stayed and ate, then went back to the house around 730. poor shawna, i stood her up. we were supposed to hang out at my house but i really needed to get all this stuff done, there really should be more than 24 hours in a day...even if just to catch up on sleep. i organized the kitchen, and organized my closet and stuff. i just don't know what to do with all this damn space...it's kind of cool. the coolest part of my house at this moment are the remotes that all the ceiling fans have...seriously, i take it to bed with me (that sounds dirty, stop it.), and when i'm ready to go to sleep, *click* off the light goes, and i can change the speeds of the fan...people are effin' lazy...it's awesome.
anyways...i didn't go to sleep until like 1230 and i woke up at the same time as normal...and i left a little early, because it takes me about 10 extra minutes (not incl. post office stop) to get to work even though i live off the very same highway...hurry up and finish the construction!! i might take a different way tomorrow to see how that works. anyways i got here on time and before my boss, and i'm very sleepy. i just called and cancelled my auto insurance with geico and am getting reimbursed...SO FREAKIN' AWESOME, i'm about to get $220 in the mail, sweet. i'm supposed to meet my mom at sam's to buy my pots, pans and utensils. yay. and bundy and i have a dinner date tonight, *heart*.
but i am le tired.
