hey hey,
so yesterday at work was great! i got stuff done without feeling like i was going to go crazy, i'm glad i have this time to re-coup so that when i'm stressed out again i can be a little more calm and know it's not the end of the world. ok, enough work.
i met bundy after work at barton creek mall to do some "xmas shopping", really this meant, spend $150 on myself and then..oh yeah, buy one gift. a few years ago, when my mom and i were xmas shopping together, we noticed that a lot of the "gifts" we were buying were for us...oops..thus we coined the phrase (although i'm sure it's been used before): "merry christmas to me"...we're pretty bad when we're together, we usually only buy things for ourselves...oops. i also contribute this to my "only-child syndrome" which is something i really just can't help...it doesn't help that this year the 'rents aren't really getting me anything...b/c loads of furniture just wasn't enough...good Lord, i AM selfish. (no i appreciate them, and i don't expect anything from them)
anywayssss....we had dinner at this little mediterranean place in the food court which was surprisingly decent, next time i'll have to get chicken though. i bought a top for NYE, which might have been impulse b/c i'm returning it tomorrow...oops. after trying on the whole outfit, it's just not what i'm looking for...so once again, i must make the tour around the mall...at least it's not this weekend (i got my xmas outfit too...) we also went to best buy where they have a full table of christmas movies and cartoons. i'm a stranger to the claymation "rudolph" and "frosty" movies, and i've figured out why...
me: "i don't think i watched a lot of these [christmas cartoons]...it must have been because i lived in a country which was anti-christian" (thanks saudi)
we also went to target, where i got my boss a really great card...well *I* think it's great, it made me laugh out loud, so i hope it does the same for her.
it's once again gloomy outside and because of the holidays coming up, this week has decided to go by unbelievably slow. that's nice. but it'll be back in the 60s again and i won't have to figure out how to layer my outfits without looking like a polar bear. perfect. but i was really getting it down to an art.
