"cars and phones and diamond rings, *bling, bling*"--jack johnson
this weekend was full of ups and downs...but let's just start at the beginning.
on friday, i was very chill, i went to my parents and we took my mom out for her birthday dinner at hudson's on the bend, for those of y'all who do not frequent the lake area, this is one of the nicest (and when i say nicest i mean $$$), the food is ridiculous, it's really random things like venison and squirrel and stuff like that. luckily there were some other things there that were edible, i had the seafood crepes which were delicious, yum! then i just went home and went to bed really early like a loser. but it's ok b/c i made up for it saturday.
saturday i woke up early to take my car in, long story short, the people at lamb's automotive on 183 north in cedar park are ridiculous. they take forever and are sort of helpful, but not really. i went in for an oil change and small look at brakes, and the next thing i know i needed $1500 worth of crap done to my car. i said, no thanks, but thanks for changing the oil. (my dad has a mechanic by lakeway he's been going to for years, so that's where my baby is right now). i met my mom for lunch with her friends, who are sort of crazy at dave & busters and then went to party city and got lots of fun things for my party, get excited ;)
i went home, relaxed, got ready and then went over to shawna's, we were supposed to predrink then take a cab downtown, sharla and colleen fell asleep (they received the boo awards for the evening ;) ) but shawna and i still went out. we started at fado, then headed over to lucky lounge, cool bar, we were there for awhile, and random story, some girl asked to leave her drink on our table while she went to look for her friends outside, well then she came back in with OUR friends, steph and jen, who happened to also be HER friends. random, so that's how we met doran. then all of a sudden we had random boys all over the place. after lucky lounge, we ended our night at antone's running into some people that shawna knew from work.
after that we walked lucy over to john's house (see above), and their dogs played, minor drama, then walked back to shawna's where i acquired the worst blisters ever! shawna let me crash on her couch and i left around 10, to go to my house, shower and then drive to my parents for the huge feast she was having for the family she just moved into a house. (aka our new friends, and corina's familia). that was supposed to be at lunchtime, but apparently it was at 3, and they didn't show up til 4, well i was kind of in a hurry to get to the superbowl party that steph and jarrod were having, and long story short, there are these rocks we park on my parents house which are annoying as hell and instead of asking the person in the driveway to move, i just drove through the rocks and got her car stuck! yay! booooooo :( anyway, luckily there were a bunch of guys there, so they helped pull (and push) it out. i just felt like an idiot.
so i went over to jarrods, socialized more than watched the game, left early, went all the way back to LEANDER and realized b/c i had switched cars with my mom (b/c she is taking my car into the mechanic) i didn't have a house key....so i tried to call my mom and dad to see if there was one in her car or if they could meet me in the middle, but to no avail, so out to lakeway i go. booo.
so i can't say it was the worst weekend ever, b/c saturday was WAY fun, but yeah. i'm a winner. hopefully i'll have a better week.
i'm getting tired now, maybe it's coffee time? i don't know but i have a GREAT lunch ready for me, and it's almost that time.
