"don't you think we oughta know by now"--john mayer

I sent our international invitations out today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (All you local people have to wait another 2 weeks ;)) I went to buy postage today and wanted to poke myself in the eye. Ugh. but oh well! :) Such a big thing to cross off the list and when the others are sent I can just wait for the RSVPs to come in (and I'm sure impatiently).

I leave a week from today to Tokyo. It takes 14 hours to get there, not counting the 40 mins to Houston and the 3 hour layover (fun.) I get there at 2pm on Thursday and I'll meet Chris' friend at the airport (Chris is flying from the other direction and had to fly to a different airport and gets in a few hours later) and then head to the hotel. I already started packing, lol, plus I'm giving Chris a suitcase with some stuff I'm moving overseas so he can take that back to Saudi. Which is kind of crazy.

Also in good news, Chris and I have been doing a lot of research on name changes, passports, and visas. Turns out I can get the certified copy of the marriage license the Monday after the wedding, which is all you need to 1. change your name and 2. get a new passport. We were both a little relieved when we found that out for sure, and then we have to wait for the new passport (which can be expedited in a few days if you go to Houston) and for his company to provide my resident's visa. If for some reason things get backed up, we'll just move the flights back and leave later. Chris has an ungodly amount of vacation time that I probably shouldn't tell anyone about because it will just make you grumpy. (It made me grumpy since I was struggling to earn the hours to go to Tokyo!)

Also, apparently my dad has to have another stint put in. I took him to the doctor on Friday to have some tests run and they found that he had more blockages :(. I really don't like hospitals at all and I hate when either of my parents are in them especially. And I just want him to feel better since he rarely does. :(

anyway I hope everyone is doing well and enjoying this week which I wish would hurry up and be over! I am VERY excited also that TV is back on, I've only been watching Gossip Girl and the Real World/RR Challenge and I got caught up on the Hills earlier this week. But I'm so glad The Office and Grey's are back tomorrow! YAY! :) and Dirty Sexy Money is close behind:)

peace.
