"laying all my troubles down"--UB 40
So this weekend was pretty fun, I got to see a lot of friends which was great! :)
It kicked off on friday when I met Vincent, Shawna, Sharla, Colleen and Heidi at saba for happy hour. that was really fun and I missed those mexicali martinis :) after that I just went home and then my mom and I ended up going shopping lol. We didn't buy anything though just "window shopped", we have coupons waiting for us.
On Saturday I drove down to Kelli's (she just moved into a duplex with a roommate down south) and met her and L*bo and Kelli's new roommate Katie to go tubing. We met a bunch of people downtown, including Amy and then all drove down to the Comal. Tubing was fun and relaxing of course and although I haven't posted my moving "bucket list" yet, one of the things on there was to go tubing again, so done. We headed back to Austin after one float because Shea had already gotten to Austin, luckily she had a good book to read and found a Starbucks so she was fine. We got back, just hung out for awhile, ate dinner at Casa G's and then came back to get ready. It ended up just being us 4 that went out and we just went dancing at the Marq. Katie met us there and we attempted to walk to 219 west which was sort of a bad idea so Katie took us back to our car, Shea and I got lost on the way back to Kelli's and then we just went to sleep.
Sunday was just a quick lunch at Le Madeleine, then LBo and I went to DSW for shoes - no luck. I had to go make a payment on Chris' gift, and then Carosa & Gary met me so I could give her, her bridesmaid dress. I went over to Shawna & Oliver's apartment warming party thinking I was late, and I was the first one there! :) Anyway, your apt is really cute Shawna, it's so homey and comfortable, yay! I got really tired since I hadn't had any sleep and hadn't been home all weekend so I went to see my parents. I ended up taking a 2 hour nap and therefore couldn't fall asleep til 2, which was awesome and yesterday I was a complete zombie and felt like I was getting sick, boo. I think it's just allergies.
Anyway my shopping success story - I went to get a scarf after work (even though I felt like crap, i REALLY wanted it) and when the girl rang it up, it was $5! *I WIN!* (haha, L*bo) Then I went home, had some soup, watched Gossip Girl and went to bed.
This week is pretty calm, dinner got moved to Thursday at Chris' parents house so I'm having dinner with Julie on Wednesday and Friday we are doing the food tasting at the hotel and Saturday we're doing invitations! (Don't expect yours til October though - I just want them done) except I am still waiting for my map which I haven't gotten...boo.
Anyway that's all, very exciting haha.
