have you had your latin kiss today?

"what have you done for me lately"--janet jackson

So, I feel like I have had a busy 2 days already! Work is kind of busy but I'm feeling a little bit unmotivated. boo.

Things I've done for the wedding so far this week:
  • Officially ordered the invitations, just need to get the proofs back and then they should be here in about 1.5 or 2 weeks! Then we'll start addressing envelopes...THAT will be fun..no not really.
  • Needing to figure out how to design my own map, it's not that hard really, I just have to sit down and do it.
  • Email our photog tomorrow if I haven't gotten the engagement pics yet! And also remind her she's not doing too well at updating her blog.
  • Brainstormed with Chris about how to set up our table numbers (he is being awfully useful all of a sudden)
Ok, I guess that's not too much, but I feel like I want to get all of this done. It's all little things left now!

So Chris and I have been having some discussions lately about what our housing situation is going to be. We have gone back and forth about buying or renting, etc. and I think we have finally decided. We'll move to Bahrain around March and find a place to rent for a little bit. We really want to buy something, but things don't run like they do here. Here we could just get a decent loan and good interest rate with our credit scores and be done with it. There you have to put a big chunk of money down, and everyone gets the same.interest.rate, which is pretty high actually. Apparently as you pay off the mortgage, the rate goes down? I don't get it. Credit means nothing there. So, we decided to rent for about a year, it's not that big of a deal really, most everyone rents and his company gives us a housing allowance which is nice, will let us save some money and also make sure we buy something we really want and love. They have all these awesome high rise apartments you can buy, but they're kind of pricey and all you can really see is the floorplan, not an actual apartment, which I don't like. I'm so used to being able to see the house or the apartment and what it's going to look like. So the year gives us time to find something we like. Anyway, I'm excited! I've already started looking at apartments and found some really cute ones in our price range. (Don't worry, when we find one I'll post pics - and I know I'm jumping the gun on that, but I want to see what we can get for our money and I tend to get excited about real estate, haha.)

Anyway I guess that's all I have to write about. Also, it's effing hot, but I'm about to enjoy my pomegranate paradise jamba juice. yum!

PS. I'm REALLY getting tired of my blog, like the look. So I'm going to try to sit down one day soon and try to find something I like for the new one so it's something I can be proud of. Stupid blogger basic templates.

peace.
