"makes me want to scream"--michael & janet jackson
So I am trying to get back into the blogging circle, I felt like writing again - about what? I don't know. But when I move, I'm hoping to keep several blogs. One of our experiences overseas and also a travel blog. I'm also thinking about a 101 in 1001 blog. (If you haven't heard of this it's where you list 101 things you would like to do in 1001 days...basically 3 year goals, and they can be pretty much anything...i think my problem would be coming up with 101 but we'll see how that goes.) In any case, I should probably keep the writing flowing and try to learn to not be so random and ramble so much...I have to start now. :)
So a few things, yesterday I got my bonus! yay! A few things I plan to do with it are to pay off the wedding ring I got for Chris and part of his wedding gift. Today Chris called me and we were looking at tickets to leave and as long as his company approves the ridiculously priced one-way ticket for me that we found, we will be leaving on December 28. This gives us a day or 2 to recover from jet lag, spend New Years in Dubai or Bahrain and then have a few days to get settled in since he doesn't have to be at work til Jan 5. Who gets 35 days vacation plus holidays? it makes my 10 days seem absolutely worthless. It's kind of crazy now that we have an actual date, even weirder to see my new name on the ticket! :) I will be overseas in 5 months and I.can't.wait. :)
I know you are wondering about *my* job process as am I, the deadline I gave them was August, so only a few more weeks before I know what is going to happen. But I have decided I will be at peace with whatever decision they make, and I have several back up plans so my stress level is pretty low regarding that. It helps that Chris is being supportive no matter what. I kind of already have a plan in my head about how I want things to go but we all know how wonderful it is to talk about work on your blog :) so I will just keep those to myself for now.
This weekend, my cousin Rose from Corpus is supposed to come up with her friend because of tropical storm Dolly and they are evacuating...I guess it's not this weekend though since it should make landfall within the next few days. Does anyone else think it's weird that more of the "female" hurricanes make landfall than males. I mean besides Hurricane Andrew, I can't really think of a really bad "male" storm. Sorry - just speculating.
Anyway, I hear the temperature is supposed to drop tomorrow and Thursday, so yay relief from the heat! :)
