well here is my post xmas update!
on friday, my mom picked me up from work and what should have taken a little over an hour, took us almost 2.5 hours to get to SA. boo. we met at my cousin lisa's house, then drove down to the riverwalk to eat at casa rio. "we" = me, my mom, my aunt liz, cousin rose, thad, and lisa. aunt julie and ed met us there, we had to wait like an hour, but it was so worth it, yum! we then walked around and took some pictures in front of the lights.

after that, we went back to the house because rose and thad had a flight at 6am or something to go to iowa to be with thad's familia. we went to bed late anyways. and i don't know if i saw lisa again til the next day (she has a boyfriend now...so what family?)
saturday i spent most of the morning wrapping presents, as well as getting mad at lisa for ditching us, but then her cat got run over and i felt bad :(. so her new boyfriend came over with his 2 nephews and had a burial in the backyard (i am NOT joking). after that, we went to go eat at my favorite place, but it was closed, so we went somewhere else instead, which was good too! (i ate waaay too much mexican food this weekend). we went to run a quick errand then stopped by my aunt sandy's house to drop off gifts, when my cousin rudy asked if i was going to aunt yolanda's and i was like no (each section of the familia has their own thing for xmas, which is why) and they said i could go, so i begged my mom to go instead of going with her and aunt julie to church. so i stayed with my aunt sandy and went with them to the party. fun! i saw some cousins i hadn't seen in awhile.

my mom came and picked me up later and we went back to lisa's [who was not home] (after driving my aunt julie home and that took like 30 more mins than it should have. boo!) the night was very restless, my mom was sick and the dogs and cat kept crying for food! booooo.
christmas day we took our time getting ready and lisa still wasn't home (i'm not surprised), then we went to visit my aunt laura and visit for a little bit, then headed over to the family xmas at uncle john's. i was STARVING and all of the food was wonderful. (yes i had tamales, but i had them on xmas eve) then we played white elephant, which NO ONE knew how to play, everyone judged lisa on her new boyfriend and no one but me found the bar my uncle had set up...i guess i'm the lush. whatever.

anyways, then we drove back to austin to spend some time with my dad and we opened gifts and my mom bought sweaters for the dogs, but b/c it's summer again, they won't be able to really wear them.
yesterday my dad and i went to go check out our phone options, we've been very patient (not really) for the past 2 years and have waited to get our new phone. now we get $150 off and apparently there is a sprint place right across the street from my parents' subdivision so we went there. we had decided on phones, and good thing we have to wait until jan 1. because i went to the mall later with my mom and i saw a lot more options! so i'm excited because by this time next week i should have a new phone!!! yay! after that, my dad and i went to eat at wendy's, then i went to meet my mom to go shopping. returning stuff wasn't too bad, (we went a little later) and i bought some earrings for NYE and a bunch of xmas stuff on sale. fun! i really want rachael ray's 365 days of recipes or whatever, and i can't find it ANYWHERE. i checked my b&n, target and walmart. boo. i have to go searching now. we came back home, ate dinner and then i drove back to my house. i'm not sure what i did, but i think it involved uploading pictures and unpacking, but also re-packing at the same time.
things to do next year: clean my house, get ready for visitors (next weekend!)
things to do this year: find a purse for NYE, get through the next 3.5 days of work, have a blast on NYE, and ring in '06 in style! ;)
