hey hey, well this should be an exciting post!
after work, i met shawna, sharla and colleen at the iron cactus for happy hour/dinner. i had 3/4 of a corona and some nachos. i'm not a big fan of black beans, not sure why i got them, but they were still good. it was really fun, talking and laughing and being girls! saturday, we're going to a sex toy party! awesome!
i left them and went to best buy where i purchased wedding crashers, starsky and hutch and anchorman. i think these were all great purchases, i also bought a battery charger for my digi, because it is very necessary. after all this i had my leftover gift card, i only paid about $16. awesome. so then i went to my parents house, and coming down southwest parkway, i have to turn onto highway 71. the guy in front of me looked like he was about to turn, so when i looked to my left to see if i could go, i saw this truck SPEEDING down the hill and so i stopped, but not before rear-ending the guy in front of me (who i thought had already gone)! booo! luckily he was really nice and since he was in one of those worker trucks with the steel bumpers, i did no damage to his car (like i scuffed it) but i have this dent about the size of a golf ball (maybe a little bigger) on my hood. not too bad, but if you know someone who can pop this out cheap, let me know. it's not super important, but still sucks. also, he said he didn't really want to do insurance, even though we exchanged information just for kicks, so THATs even better! so even though it sucked, it wasn't too bad, and i'm fine, no whiplash here, i was going like 2 mph or something.
so i drove to my parents house and after hearing that my stupid cousin (i shut down my family blog b/c i wasn't keeping it up) but the one with the nose job, who had the boyfriend she left us for on xmas (read my previous posts), has asked her AWESOME boyfriend to move in with her after 1 month. granted, she IS 32 and she is a big girl, but she doesn't make great choices. anyways, my mom has yelled at her [mostly for being stupid and letting this guy move in and soon he'll have rights to her house if something were to happen...damn community property], along with the disapproval of all the rest of the familia (we're brown, that's how we roll)...things are going GREAT. don't expect me to go visit SA anytime soon since she was our "hotel". booo. (and don't go into the, "don't you have 50 other family members" question, b/c although we do, there are some we would rather not stay with or who just don't have room). my cousin rose and i are thinking about maybe just renting or buying a little townhome so when she comes up from corpus or we come from austin we'll have a place. lol.
after that, i helped my dad download some ringtones and took my parents' pictures so i'd have something put up when they call (cleo is my picture for when they call from the house phone. i wanted both the dogs, but she wouldn't sit next to caesar, so this will have to do for now). my mom DID find my baylor sweatshirt! soo excited! so i took that and left, i got home close to 10, filling my cousin rose in on all the family gossip and then i swept and tried to vacuum, but geez my vacuum is no good. i apologize l*bo and shea...but i DID vacuum.
apparently something weird happened with my DVR and everything i recorded from weds night to last night never got recorded, it said it was "scheduled" which is stupid b/c WEDS was not in the future. boo...so i don't have any of the new tv from last night (my name is earl or the office) and steve carell was apparenlty on ellen...boo, so eventually i had to unplug it...after that it worked fine. whatever.
everyone is getting sick, sheavon is sick (she may not come tonight) and bundy says she is sick too and people in my office are getting sick too...boo, stay away from me!! :(
in other news, my boss had her baby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i'm so excited for her, i'm sure she is too! and everyone is doing fine. she had a boy (i KNEW it!...i should have written it as a prediction), they named him elliott frances and he was 7lb 3oz, and he has dark hair and blue eyes. she's going to send pictures soon, i am so excited!!
ANYWAYS, i think i'm done. i'm so glad it's friday! someone brought king cake for our breakfast today, i don't see a baby though, boo...anyways, i have a fun weekend planned so far. yay!
