so last night, i went with my work friend from houston to eat at austin java, the weather was perfect so we sat outside, i had a good little meal and his pasta was really good, i think i'm getting that next time, so we just hung out for awhile, then i went home and watched the grammys, here are my takes on it:
*how old is madonna? she rocks, her little dance moves, etc, i was like, wow you are cool.
*way to come from behind U2, considering that kanye thought he would just be a shoo-in for all the awards. i feel like i need to listen to U2's album again b/c i don't remember being all that impressed with it.
*besides the whole band outfits, i loved kanye's performance, "touch the sky" is my favorite song from that album and i'm glad he ended with it
*was that randy jackson in the background on guitar during the sly and family stone performance? ..anyone?
*i heart KELLY CLARKSON! you go girl! i was soooo sooo proud of her! that was like her dream and it came true, *heart*
*jayz, linkin park, paul mccartney? way. to. go. best performance of the night for me
best grammys ever.
then i watched american idol, which i probably could have done without, it was just highlighting the good singers they had already highligted in the previous auditions. i really like kellie pickler, just b/c she's cute, but i don't think she'll win or anything and the guy that wears the cowboy hat with the bald head and facial hair and he's really attractive, with the wife and 2 kids, i think john daughtry? wooooo...my other 2 votes for not necessarily pity but like awwww factor are the cowboy kid (i don'tthink he's that great) and the 27 grey haired guy. bless his heart, i love him. ok that's my take so far...
andy got a new pup, i told y'all this, here is a picture of miss sydney sue (ok that's what i call her, she's just sydney, but y'all know how i do: lucy lu and reilly roo, etc)
today i am a little less stressed and meeting the happy hour hellraisers at vivo for a much needed drink. very exciting and then going to see the parents and getting some great food. yum!
