so yesterday at work was alright. the funniest part of my day was when something in a database went wrong so i went to talk to my boss and apparently the words "do you have a minute? i need to talk you about something" are expected to be followed by the closing of an office door and some sort of announcement. apparently i really scared her, i was like, "no...it's a database", it's not a life changing event. ok now that i type it out, it's not really that funny. whatever.
after work i made the trek over to lakeway to get my haircut. i had brought a picture, but when i thought about it, i knew that i liked my hair the way it is, so i just asked her to clean up the ends and thin it out a little bit. she always puts like 5000 products in it, but this time she chi-ed it, thank goodness and sent me on my way. anyways, basically it looks the same, but a little shorter and neater and not as bottom heavy. whatever, i like it. i figure after i grow my hair out longer i can afford to have her try to do something different with it. NO MORE MULLETS! after that i went over to my parents' house and my parents and i went to go eat chinese food. yum-o. my mom's new shift is totally tiring her out so she was like a zombie. she was going to take my car in for me today but i saw how tired she was so i just told her not to worry about it, i still have 400 miles to go til 20K so i'm sure i'll be fine. (i'm a little lazy btw)
i had to run some errands on the way home and got home later than i wanted esp since i needed to do laundry and clean my house. chris called me last night and said that apparently his orientation ends at 12, not 4! so he'll be here by the time i get off work (instead of like 10)! sooo happy! :) (except i was hoping to get some more cleaning done and his gift wasn't ready...thank goodness for lunch breaks) not to mention had i known earlier than 10pm, i could have picked up some stuff to make dinner. which was an idea i had earlier but i thought he would be coming in at 10, not 6. whatever.
and my rant for the day is this: why hasn't hallmark cashed in on the "boyfriend/girlfriend" birthday card market. like something that's not "someone special" "special friend" or "love". all love birthday cards say basically the same thing, "happy birthday, i love you" or "i love you, happy birthday". where's the cards for the couple who just started dating who are not in the "i love you" stage. i'm serious, searching for cards is awful, i'm trying target today, but i would have appreciated a little more help with that last night. wtf.
also i was really disappointed b/c all week i thought last night was thursday and today was friday, and i was sad to know that it's only thursday. boo!
anyways, that's all i got. i was supposed to start my workout regimine this week and i've only done pilates once. i RULE.
