"it's the most wonderful time, of the year"

on sunday, we went to eat lunch with some people at pluckers and then i went to do some last minute shopping with my mom. after that, i went to meet up with chris' family and we went down to marble falls and johnson city to look at xmas lights.
went to work on monday, boo. and then left early to go to my parents house for christmas eve dinner. i was there wrapping presents for awhile, then went to chris' house to open presents with his family and do our own christmas gifts. i got some really great books that i'm excited to read and some other little knick-knacks from his parents and sister.
after his parents left to go to church, chris and i continued with our own christmas. i got him some sunglasses he wanted, a book of paris pictures he loves, a keychain with a pic of us on it :) and tickets to the bulls vs spurs game for weds. now, while most people would say, we're engaged, that's your xmas gift. i ended up getting some shoes, another book, some other little things and...

after presents, we went over to my parents for some snacks, and then went to church where we decided that we may get married in a church after all. we may have some issues with being able to get married in the catholic church, since usually they make you take classes and my fiance is about to move overseas for a year...so we will have to have a back up plan, (which of course, knowing me, i have). anyway, i called them and am waiting for them to get back to me. the main thing is that we are both Catholic, woo. and the person we are hoping to get to officiate the ceremony is ALSO Catholic, and in fact, confirmed us back in Saudi. (how.cute.) after church, we went back to my parents house to eat dinner and open more presents.
on christmas day, i opened more presents with my family and chris came over for awhile and then we went over to his parents house for Christmas dinner. fabulous as always, drunk by 4, etc. i am just really glad our families get along and that we get along with each other's families. it makes a big difference.
on weds, i went to work, then chris and i went to SA to see the bulls play the spurs (chris is a big bulls fan so i was glad i was able to get him tickets for this game) ...unfortunately, they lost, haha, but he was excited to go.
yesterday, chris took my car to get detailed (yay! clean car!) and then i went over to my parents for awhile and then home to do laundry and pack for SF! we leave tomorrow morning at some ridiculous hour, like 5am? boo. anyway, i'm just excited to go. tonight we have a small engagement dinner that my mom's cousins wanted to have, so we are having it at casa chapala tonight at 6, if you are interested, let me know, you are more than welcome to come.
anyway, i am so, so excited!!! i can't wait to start planning!! haha...oh the words of such a naive bride ;)
peace. have a GREAT new years!
