well i had a really fun weekend, thought i would just give a small recap.
so friday i left work early to catch my flight, when i got to the airport, the line for security was literally all the way down the airport, anyway, luckily it went fast. unfortunately since express jet is a very tiny airline(plane?) i had to go to gate 1A, which is like underground, it was really creepy and really quiet. in any case, the flight was smooth and chris met me at the airport, sometimes he gets really excited to see me and loses his keys (ie. in paris when i came back from london, he forgot his keys and locked us out of the apt for about 4 hours), this was no different he had bought a magazine and something to drink and left his keys on the counter, silly. so we had to find the police station and retreive them. after that, we went to bricktown and had dinner at this brewery place and hung out there for awhile, then walked around for awhile, then went to the fall out boy concert. we got there in perfect time. we saw plain white t's perform "hey there delilah" and one other song, and then gym class heroes came out, who were awesome and then fall out boy. they admitted they sucked live and how many times can you watch pete wentz do flips or whatever he was doing off the stage, but it was good anyway, we left a little bit early, but we heard all the songs we each wanted to hear. then we went to our wine bar and had some...champagne (no nothing to celebrate, just for fun, haha). by then i was exhausted so we just went home.
on saturday, we slept in and then grabbed some lunch and headed on our road trip. we at one time were going to do 4 states in one day. boo. instead we drove to my dad's hometown, ponca city and i got to show chris some stuff, like my grandma's old house and we went to this mansion thing, and the conoco museum (haha) and this school my grandpa founded. then we drove to kansas, b/c he wanted to say he had actually been lol. so we literally exited, went to a gas station and turned around. in any case, we have a lot of fun no matter what we do, lol, so it was really fun. then we went to eat at his hibachi place? where they cook your food in front of you and then went to see the kingdom. please only go see this if you understand that it is not what saudi arabia or all saudis for that matter is really like. they based the movie on 2 actual events that actually affected people's lives and turned it into a typical hollywood action movie. it made me a bit frustrated. in any case, they DID talk about the company our parents worked for and even showed some pictures. that was cool, and even though filmed in arizona, they made it look so real, i mean it really looked like saudi.
sunday, we woke up early and went to buy stuff to make breakfast, and then chris made us breakfast (aww, heart, he CAN cook) and then we did some REALLY FUN AND EXCITING budget stuff. boo. anyway, talked some more about future things :) and just hung out til i had to catch my plane. on the plane, the stewardess had to ask people to move seats b/c our "plane would tip over" or something and no one would move, mainly b/c she didn't explain well enough, but also b/c they were...ridiculous? if the plane is going to tip over in the sky, THEN MOVE! anyway, i got in on time and then went to meet shawna and colleen to see dan in real life. omg, i loved it!! it was really cute and feel good movie. laughter, emotion, etc all at the right times. i highly recommend it!
anyway i've been in meetings all day and had to run to the bank and stuff, and i haven't done ANY. WORK. today. boo. so i just thought i would blog a bit.
side note: i bought carrie underwood's new album. i was a little late to jump on the bandwagon with her first one, (which i like), but i really like her 2nd one too. "the more boys i meet, the more i love my dog." gym class heroes cd is good too and the fall out boy one is growing on me. anyway, good music. going running after work and then have to go to the store to pick up some wasp/hornet killer (boo wasp nests on back porch!) and then home i suppose.
