so glad it's friday, however i wish it wasn't so cold and i hadn't packed all of my sweaters into random suitcases and have no idea where they are! luckily i had one that was drying from laundry to wear today...i also managed to step out into 30 degree weather, drive out of my subdivision before realizing that i had no jacket. awesome. so i had to go back home. oh well. excited about happy hour tonight, sort of about moving tomorrow, excited about juno and more moving haha.
chris is safely in saudi!! he has called me twice and i have gotten plenty of emails, we are doing things the "old fashioned" way until his internet/phone is set up at his apartment. he was originally staying in the guest apartment and was set to move into another 2/1.5 bath next door which needed new paint/carpet/appliances, but apparently his friend's uncle is the head of the compound he lives in and told him he could just stay in the already re-done apartment(ie the one he is)! so he doesn't have to move again, he is so happy, they have to move out the furniture that's in there, but i'm glad he is getting more settled. his weekends are thurs-fri, so he has been unpacking and sleeping for the past 2 days and starts to work again tomorrow. that will be kind of weird, i already thought today was saturday b/c i knew when i woke up today his friday would almost be half over and it would be saturday...already on saudi time haha. he also went walking around the mall which apparently has grown 3x in size since i last saw it and they are getting all new stores, including...steve madden...that's all he could remember, lol. at least i know i won't lose my shopping habit when i leave. anyway, things are good and i bet it's not 35 degrees over there! boo.
wedding update:
*received contract for the Omni - 1st deposit due jan 25th!
*decided on photographer - http://smsphotography.blogspot.com , chris and i can already see our entire wedding digitally and we are so, so excited! just need to confirm.
*going to an open house for the DJ company we are interested in on monday with my mom, I have 3 DJs to interview, so fingers crossed we get a good one!
*started looking at dresses!! i'm so excited to be getting the big things out of the way that i have to reserve ahead of time, i can't wait to do fun things like play with dresses and pick flowers. in one week i have gone from stressed out bride to yay bride! lol.
