happy birthday to me! (yesterday...)
hello all!
so this weekend went by too quickly, mainly because i was hungover on sunday til 10pm. gee, i'm so glad i'm one year older. boo.
anyway, friday, my mom, chris' mom and amy went to dinner and to look at dresses and invitations. the lady's dress selection left much to be desired so we moved on to something she was obviously good at: invitations, she had about 70 books of them. (she had her own business in her house) after awhile they all started looking alike, but i narrowed it down to 2, both totally different but she is now doing a price quote. fingers crossed, i REALLY don't want to do them myself, even if chris' mom says she will help, it's just a lot of work.
saturday, my mom, kelli and i went to houston, we stopped by shea's to drop off our stuff, and then my mom and i met her friend diane for lunch and to look at MORE dresses, i only found one that was sort of comparable to "the" dress, but i didn't cry or anything lol, so we left. shea and kelli were with us as well and then we went shopping at the galleria. i realized there that i had forgotten my shoes to go out that night so i had to do a mad dash to find some. i ended up finding some super cute gold peep toe flats at steve madden: happy birthday to me! then we went back to shea's to get ready and go out for her friend's belated birthday dinner. we had sushi at this place called fish? and then went to midtown. let me just say that houston nightlife cannot compare to austin. we really have it good up here. yay! so i only had about 4 drinks but the next day i was dying, boo. so i am saving myself for the birthday celebrations and may only have a glass of wine at dinner tonight, but still.
anyway i did absolutely nothing on sunday except come back to austin, take a nap and watch the oscars. the only movie i've seen is juno and the bourne ultimatum that actually won anything. but who knew javier bardem could be so hot when he didn't have a bad haircut and wasn't playing a scary man ont he big screen. hel-lo new found lovah. i may have to go see his movie, or all of the nominated ones actually.
yesterday was my birthday!!! it was pretty low key :) my mom brought me a balloon, lol, chris sent me some beautiful tulips :) and i got a lot of facebook, myspace, text messages and phone calls. thank you all so much!!! i would kind of prefer to stop counting numbers after 25, just b/c 26 just sounds so odd, i think 27 sounds like a better number, but oh well i don't want to make myself older than necessary :). (maybe i just like odd numbers) after work, my mom made one of my favorite dinners and then i decided i would go shopping, since after all, it WAS my birthday. i didn't end up buying anything of note, but it was still fun. tonight is celebration #2 (or 3? if you count houston) with the hellrazrs. i am so excited for vivo!
anyway, i hope you all have a great week! and i hope to see most of you on saturday night for the big birthday celebrations if you can make it!

PS. UM HELLO!! my countdown says i leave to see chris in 20 days!!!! that's less than 3 weeks! :) yay!
