so i had a really good weekend, it was very low key but just perfect. on friday i went over to have dinner with chris' parents. it was good as always, salmon, rice, salad, asparagus and wine. perfect. then his mom and i played wedding for awhile.
on saturday i slept in after getting a phone call from my one and only at 6.30am. i had been dreaming about him or something and then i got a text message from him at the moment so i texted back and he assumed i was up. boo. anyway i take those phone calls no matter what because when you're long distance any chance to hear your bf's voice is a blessing. :) i woke up and then my mom and i went shopping. we didn't do any wedding stuff, if you can believe it (well we got our champagne flutes engraved, but that's it!) :) and i think i only spent about $20! i got 2 dresses, some underwear and 2 shirts. (ok my mom bought one of the other dresses, but still-$20 for one dress, 2 shirts and VS underwear?--hello gift cards!) then i met l*bo and kelli for dinner at suzi's, good food and good company. they were going out but i didn't feel like it. i'm saving my energy for houston (this weekend) and birthday (next), i'm also trying to fit into a wedding dress so the less alcoholic calories, the better lol. anyway i just went home and worked on wedding guest lists and hung out with my parents.
on sunday, my mom and i woke up early to meet chris' parents and their breakfast crowd for breakfast. after that we went to look at invitation stuff. we are debating making our own or ordering and wanted to price all options. on friday we're going to price having them made by someone else. as much as i think making them is sort of a hassle, the ones we came up with to make are SO PRETTY! also, if i provide food, i've got some pretty crafty bridesmaids who have offered to help! we'll have them done in no time! :) we'll see how that all goes. after that, my mom and i just went home, i took a nap, i ate dinner, i went to get groceries and then worked on addresses for the guest list. i figured if i needed to send out save the dates, i would need addresses and soon. :)
in any case, i am here at work today, no one is here (no we don't get presidents day off) and i am in a good mood! for a monday! :) yay! i am going to the bank today EDIT: boo. banks have presidents day off. i guess i'll go tomorrow, BUT Express is open! and then to express to try on 2 really cute shirts i found this weekend but i was missing my coupons, at lunch. chris is on his way to tunisia right now after a 7 hour layover in cairo. he's so excited for his first business trip and i'm sure he's going to do very well :) anyway that's all. :) here's to a good week, my spirits are high!
