"i know what i want, so don't hold me back"--colbie caillat
happy friday!
so far this week i have been crazy at work and stressed out...boo. so thank goodness it's friday!! on wednesday my cousin came to visit to keep my company (my parents are in utah), yay!
so today i woke up at 6am...for some of you this may not seem early but i don't usually have to wake up until 720am...see the problem? i did this for one reason only, becasue i officially bought training sessions and we are trying out 630am sessions. i thought i was going to die but waking up actually wasn't that hard...it was the fact that when i got there, i wanted to pass out from the workout. boo. so we talked about a small snack that i could eat before i got there so i wouldn't feel like dying every morning when i was doing lunges or balancing on a stupid ball or something. yesterday we took measurements and weight and body fat %. (somehow i managed to drop 1% of body fat in the last week and don't ask me how because i have literally been eating the worst foods EVER...read: taco bell, mcdonalds...i don't even eat those things normally!...it's just that i knew i would be getting a strict meal plan today and i wanted to enjoy all foods i could since i won't be able to eat them for like 2 months) (after my 1 month session is over, i will post up my results, i hope it is worth it!!!)
anyway after i got my ass kicked by my trainer and a free session, i went home and got ready for work...but before i left i had breakfast! i have been trying to start eating more fiber mainly because my cholesterol is high and high fiber diet is helpful for that, so yesterday i spent like 20 minutes in the cereal aisle debating between oatmeal (which i currently eat), breakfast bars and cereal. i finally decided on some kashi bars to try and this kashi cereal..it looked decent and it didn't have any artificial sweetners or high fructose corn syrup (bleh), so i thought it would be worth a try. i bought some bananas to throw in there and some other fruit and went on my way.
this morning,
i made myself a bowl of kashi cereal, sliced up a small banana and poured some lactose free milk on it (don't even ask, that's all that is in my parents house and it doesn't taste half bad)...first bite? it was SOO much better than i thought. i thought i would need some sort of honey or sweetner for it, but in fact i didn't even need the banana, it was tasty without it! so i highly recommend this cereal if you are in fact in need of a change of cereal or high fiber. 10 grams of fiber in one cup. amazing. not to mention 13 grams of protein!so shawna asked what the bridesmaid dresses were going to look like. i have not officially chosen one, but i am in the market for 2. i am leaning towards a certain one but no one has actually tried it on ~ which is what i am going to do this weekend. if you notice the 2nd picture, it will be the closest looking to that. exact colors, etc. the place i plan on buying them give you a discount for having 5+ bridesmaids which put the dresses at a very attractive price and therefore i really really want to check out the dresses.
in any case, not sure what this weekend holds. probably a movie or 2, i have to go to SA on saturday because my cousin needs to look at cars so i am going to take her. my mom comes back on saturday and dad on sunday and that's really all i have planned. anyway, hope you all have a great weekend!!!
