ever since it resurfaced in college, i've wanted to wear this all the time. the last time i thought about (about 2 years ago) i realized it was lost adn gone forever. then i met chris who had connections in saudi where i bought it oh-so-long-ago. and i was ecstatic! so when i got it for my birthda this year from him, i was beyond happy! it's been over a year since i've asked for it ;) it's my name in arabic in gold and i love it. i love it so much i want to wear it everyday but sometimes i like silver so i will be purchasing one in silver as well when i move.

my hair

a few weeks ago i decided that my hair was long and gross and needed to be chopped off. i might have been motivated by lesli's recent locks-chop, so i went to my stylist and we cut off 4.5 inches. i was so excited i could hardly contain myself. i really like the length. umm i was going to do before and after pictures but blogger doesn't like me right now i guess? (they were both awful pictures of me anyway. in one i look 12 and the other i had a mild face stroke and am not smiling)

for those of you who dont' know, i am doing this 21 day fitness survey training thing. my mom and i are doing it. it's at anytime fitness and for $20 you get a trainer for 3x a week for 3 weeks. and when you're done, they give you your money back. during those 3 weeks you can also work out anytime you want at the gym basically for free, which is cool. in any case, i am about to kill my trainer b/c i am so sore! but all i keep thinking is wedding, wedding, wedding. i think i might have to put a picture of my wedding dress on the fridge! ;) anyway, it's going well. i'll let you know the results at the end of the month.

so sad news, i think my CHI is dying. i'm so sad. i don't want to say RIP quite yet, but boo. i have had it for awhile. i love my CHI, it changed my life, but because things overseas are different voltage i would have to buy another one there anyway and i am not going to spend another $120 here just for 8 months just to buy another one there. so...help! sharla, what's the name of the one you use? or if anyone just uses a good hair straightener that they absolutely love. please. let. me. know.

so i was in SA on fri and sat night. i didn't realize the final four was taking place there. luckily we never hang out in the midst of downtown so i bypassed it all. we had a garage sale and it was a semi-success, i think my mom and i made maybe $100..MAYBE, then we took everything to goodwill adn donated it. today i was still in the donating mood so i took a bunch of books to half-price books. they gave me $24.50! i thought that was REALLY good. i bought 3 books though so i only walked away with $11, but still! i was happy! i also went shopping today because i need a strapless swimsuit and i wanted to frame this poster i have had forever until i realized that it is not going to match anything in our house. boo. so if you like mark rothko and want a blue/red/green painting. let me know. i will give it to you, for free.
