so i had a pretty good weekend...
friday i went to this reunion thing for people i grew up with overseas. it was very small and i was the youngest person there, but i got to see one of my fav peeps, sean, and hang out with his friends he brought from college who were really fun.
on saturday i met up with kelli and l*bo at which wich for lunch. my sandwich is so much better without ranch. the best thing i ever did was realize how fattening ranch was and stop putting it on sandwiches. i still eat it, but just not with sandwiches. after that we went shopping. i needed some makeup and lbo decided the outfit she brought for saturday night was not what she wanted so we went on a massive dress hunt and she found a really cute dress! i want to steal it slash buy it too! after that, we went back to kelli's to get ready for birthday dinner and celebrations. everyone was fortunately running late, including us! so we got to moonshine about 35 mins late but it was ok. kelli, lbo, sharla, julie, carosa, her sister, gary and his family met us all there. we had such a big party that we had to sit at 2 tables but it worked out well. gary's family was at one and the girls were at the other :) moonshine's food was fabulous and i can't wait to try their brunch! after that, we walked to the marq for celebrating!! i had a lot of fun. i really liked the dj, although i thought he was better on friday (it's quite possible it was a different guy). victor met up with us there with his friend tim, and colleen, shawna and oliver met up with us too! i'm really glad they came and i got to hang out with them for a little bit before they went to momo's to see paperwork! thanks for coming out guys! anyway the night was fun, i danced a lot, drank a lot, almost got assaulted by the weird guys in a wedding party and some weird man gave me $2? apparently a texas tradition is on your birthday to pin money on yourself and people give you more? i've missed this tradition, and i kind of wish i could go back to age 18 and start this over.
anyway, on sunday we woke up (boo!) and met carosa, her sister and gary at woodland for brunch. so good! i wish i could have eaten more!! then we went shopping on SoCo which was fun :), i took a quick nap at kelli's and then went back home and took another nap lol. it was good though. i had a good weekend.
so lately i've been itching for something new in the blog world: i mean i can't believe i've had this blog since december 2004. in case some of you didn't know, when i move to saudi/bahrain i plan on starting a new blog. i really wanted to start a new one now, but i was talking to l*bo and she said that this blog has so much history, it would be wise to close this chapter of my life and start the new one when i was actually married/moved. she has a point. this blog has been through job struggles, 1 quarter life crisis, 1 serious boyfriend, 1 serious breakup, becoming an adult, lots of boy drama, fun and crazy times with my friends, travels, meeting the man of my dreams and soon marrying him! i think it is probably only proper to take the next 9 months of this blog and end it in style. ironically, i started this blog on dec 7, 2004 and will probably end it 4 years to that exact date. it is meant to be :)
speaking of new blogs, one of my besties, l*bo has joined the blogging world. and i think it will be a new fav!
